  • Patent number: 7665251
Abstract: Steel frames formed of rolled steel I-beams are connected by steel framed wall panels spanned by steel studs, and covered by steel framed roof panels spanned by steel purlins, making a structural frame completely formed of steel components bolted together. All components are precut and predrilled before transport to a construction site. A crane is used to raise steel frames and steel framed roof panels into position for bolted assembly, reducing construction times to absolute minimums. Entire structure is virtually lightning-proof, wind-proof, and earthquake resistant.

  • Publication number: 20070120934
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments are directed to the printing of mixed output jobs automatically as a single integrated job. More particularly, a merging module connects two print systems, for example, at approximately 90 degrees to one another, although other configurations are possible. The merging module includes at least one sheet rotator in a plane that is common to both the paper paths of both print engines. It also includes at least two bypass paths (one above and one below the rotator) to route the two paper paths around the rotator and enable both print engines to deliver their output to the appropriate finishing device.

  • Publication number: 20060169549
Abstract: A golf car having a hydraulic disk brake system responsive to hydraulic fluid pressure generated from a master cylinder. A brake pedal and associated linkage provides input to a master cylinder to generate a hydraulic fluid pressure to control a brake caliper assembly. A flexible brake line is fluidly coupled between the brake pedal and the disk brake system for carrying the hydraulic fluid. The brake line is comprised of a flexible inner member and a braided outer member. The brake pedal has a range of travel, where a first portion of the range defines a service mode of operation and a second portion of the range defines a parking mode of operation. In the parking mode of operation, the brake pedal and linkage engages a detent to maintain application of the brake to provide a parking mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 4760498
Abstract: A photographic lamp possessing a main and back-reflector which are located respectively behind and in front of a light source. The main reflector limits a light exit aperture which is closed by a diffuser screen. The back-reflector comprises a transparent base which is partly provided with a reflecting layer. The reflecting layer is preferably applied in the manner of a graduated filter, so that the reflecting points are more numerous in the center of the base and less frequent at its periphery. The light produced is thereby extremely even and the illumination is very even, avoiding dark areas on the diffuser screen.

  • Patent number: 3937381
Abstract: A planar workpiece of polygonal outline, such as a metal frame for use as a spacer in thermally insulating glass is stood on its edge and transported to a manipulator which tilts the workpiece about a horizontal axis to position one of its corners in a treatment location where it can be, for instance, soldered or brazed. Thereafter the workpiece is tilted over and set on an edge and either transported away to another such treatment location or positioned with its next corner in the same treatment location. The manipulator which tilts the workpiece in an upright position can be a plate with four sides or a pair of arms pivotal between horizontal and vertical positions.
