  • Publication number: 20110028564
Abstract: The invention features compositions, methods, and kits useful for the treatment of filovirus-mediated diseases, e.g., hemorrhagic fever caused by Ebola virus, in an animal.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 22, 2010
    Publication date: February 3, 2011
Inventors: Lisa M. Johansen, Joseph Lehár, Benjamin G. Hoffstrom, Gene G. Olinger, Andrea R. Stossel
  • Publication number: 20050090992
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is a method of analyzing the effects of combined perturbers of a network system by means of a set of model predictions for various network configurations, using a set of phenomenologically-based combination surface models. This method can be used to predict the effects of combined perturbers of known networks, for example, providing mechanistic validation for therapeutic compounds. Alternatively, this method can provide constraints for constructing connectivity models from observed combination effects on networks of unknown structure, thus, for example, providing the required understanding to identify novel targets for therapeutic compounds.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 27, 2004
    Publication date: April 28, 2005
Inventors: Joseph Lehar, Raymond Molnar, Curtis Keith, Grant Zimmermann
  • Publication number: 20040253642
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed toward methods and devices for constructing assay arrays including a combination of constituent compositions from constituent arrays. The combined compositions are evaluated, in some embodiments of the invention, to identify combinations with a combination effect. Other embodiments of the invention are directed toward constructing constituent arrays in various configurations to facilitate the production of assay arrays. Such embodiments include: constructing constituent arrays and assay arrays with corresponding composition and assay control sets; constructing constituent arrays with a unique set of origin locations and corresponding sets of derivative locations; varying the concentrations utilized for a constituent composition; and composing assay arrays corresponding to a virtual sparse assay array. Other embodiments of the invention are directed towards systems and method of evaluating the activity of combined compositions in an assay array.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 7, 2004
    Publication date: December 16, 2004
Inventors: Grant Zimmermann, Raymond A. Molnar, Joseph Lehar, Jason Fong, Curtis T. Keith, George Serbedzija, Margaret S. Lee, Edward R. Jost-Price, Nicole Hurst, Alexis Borisy, Michael A. Foley, Brent Stockwell

  • Publication number: 20030152972
Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods of diagnosing psychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder), methods of classifying a sample as derived from an individual having a psychiatric disorder, methods of identifying compounds for use in modulating psychiatric disorders, methods of modulating psychiatric disorders and methods of assessing efficacy of treatment of psychiatric disorders. The disclosure also relates to oligonucleotide microarrays containing probes for genes which are differentially expressed between schizophrenic individuals and normal individuals and to oligonucleotide microarrays containing probes for genes which are differentially expressed between bipolar individuals and normal individuals. The disclosure also relates to methods of classifying a sample as a pre-frontal cortex and/or cerebellum sample, as well as to oligonucleotide microarrays containing probes for genes which are differentially expressed in pre-frontal cortex and cerebellum.
