Patent number: 9518691Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method including the steps of receiving a canister in a canister connection housing. The canister includes a canister fitment and a canister valve. The housing includes a receiver fitment and a door. The method includes the step of lowering the receiver fitment of the housing over the canister fitment. The lowering of the receiver fitment is caused by a closing of the housing door. The present disclosure further relates to an apparatus. An apparatus including a nest configured to receive a canister, a door configured to rotate about an angle so as to open and close, a receiver fitment configured to connect to a canister fitment, and an over-center movement mechanism connected to the door and the receiver fitment. The over-center movement mechanism is configured to move the receiver fitment along an axis as the door is rotated about the angle.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2014Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Assignee: The COCA-COLA COMPANYInventors: C. Patent number: 6244458Abstract: A container has a base, peripheral walls and a lid. Each of the base, peripheral walls and lid includes an interior wall spaced from an exterior wall, with vacuum panel in between. The sides of the vacuum panels are covered by compressible insulation fill, minimizing thermal flow along the vacuum panels despite any manufacturing tolerance differences in the width of the vacuum panels as compared to the distance between the interior wall and the exterior wall. The interior wall of the body of the container is provided by a liner formed of a single, deep drawn sheet of material. The exterior wall is similarly formed as a deep drawn shell. The inner liner and the outer shell are welded together with a bead to encase the vacuum panels in a water-tight manner, with the liner, the shell the bead all formed of the same material.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Thermo Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Clinton Frysinger, James Graber, Dwight Musgrave, Linda Siders, Gregory Thune, Dorothy J. Patent number: 6220473Abstract: A soft-sided, collapsible insulative container having a flexible casing, a base, peripheral sidewalls extending from the base, and a lid. The sidewalls fold upward from the base at a fold hinge and releasably attach at their vertical edges to form an enclosure. The lid fits the top of the enclosure. Each of the sidewalls, the base and the lid are formed of a sealable pocket having a compressible insulation lining for receiving block insulation. The flexible casing extends tightly around the container in a fully-closed position, exerting a uniform pressure on the container to improve the thermal seals.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2000Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignee: Thermo Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Lehman, Linda Siders, Dwight Musgrave, Mark W. Krivoruchka, Stephen D. Prodoehl

Patent number: 6009682Abstract: A composite hand rail for supporting and protecting pedestrians on steps and inclined surfaces. The rail is a composite comprising a shell having a wide slightly convex top surface extending downwardly and laterally to a convex sidewall before returning and flaring down to a smaller waist section. The shell has an interior cavity open to the bottom that can receive a core material. Preferably the shell is of cellular blended polyvinylchloride or styrene with a hardened skin formed by celuka processing. A simulated wood finish is applied to the shell by hot stamping or paint and print processes. Shells can be easily formed into spiral and curvilinear shapes by bending around a form or mandrel. The decorative wood finish bends with the shell thus enhancing the decorative wood finish appearance. A core is prefabricated to fit within the shell cavity. The core is fastened within the cavity by either adhesive or mechanical means.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1998Date of Patent: January 4, 2000Assignee: Audubon Products, Inc.Inventors: Joseph A. Lehman, Todd E. Rissmiller
