  • Patent number: 11460024
Abstract: A method of monitoring a volume index valve of a compressor is provided. The method includes recording a first reading of an operating condition of the compressor when the volume index valve is in a first position. The method also includes switching the volume index valve to a second position. The method further includes recording a second reading of the operating condition of the compressor when the volume index valve is in the second position. The method yet further includes calculating a difference between the first reading and the second reading. The method also includes comparing the difference to a predetermined threshold difference to determine if the volume index valve is moving between the first position and the second position in a desired manner.

  • Patent number: 10760840
Abstract: A refrigeration unit may include a first compressor constructed and arranged to compress a first refrigerant, and a second compressor constructed and arranged to compress a second refrigerant. A first condenser of the refrigeration unit is operatively coupled to the first compressor, and a second condenser is operatively coupled to the second compressor. An evaporator of the refrigeration unit is constructed and arranged to flow the first and second refrigerants received from the respective first and second condensers for chilling a heat transfer fluid. A controller of the refrigeration unit includes a computer processor and a storage media for executing a pre-programmed algorithm for initialing the second compressor when a predetermined crossover frequency of the first compressor is reached as a system load increases.

  • Publication number: 20100316655
Abstract: Disclosed herein are drug compounds that have MDR-inverse activity and thus are effective against multidrug-resistant cells. Exemplary compounds disclosed herein have the structure: Examples of the disclosed compounds have been found to have, inter alia, efficacy in directly treating multidrug resistant cells, rendering multidrug resistant cells susceptible to other chemotherapeutics and in some instances reversing multidrug resistance.
