  • Patent number: 10577259
Abstract: A cerium (IV) oxide composition having unexpectedly greater arsenic loading capacities than oxides of cerium (IV) of the prior art are disclosed. The arsenic loading capacities are greater at low level equilibrium levels of arsenic. The cerium (IV) oxide composition is more effective at removing arsenite and arsenate. Moreover, the cerium (IV) oxide composition has a greater capacity for the previously more difficult to remove arsenite.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2018
Date of Patent: March 3, 2020
    Assignee: Secure Natural Resources LLC

  • Patent number: 8066874
Abstract: An apparatus for treating an aqueous solution containing arsenic. The apparatus comprises a container that includes a housing, an inlet located at a first end of the housing and an outlet located at a second end opposite the first end. An outer wall extends between the first and second ends and enclosing a fluid flow path between the inlet and the outlet and an arsenic fixing agent is disposed in the fluid flow path. The arsenic fixing agent can include an insoluble rare earth-containing compound, more specifically, a compound comprising one or more of cerium, lanthanum, or praseodymium. The inlet and the outlet are adapted to be closed during transport and storage. The container is adapted to be sealed for long term disposal after exposure to an aqueous solution containing arsenic.

  • Publication number: 20050071280
Abstract: A system is disclosed for a digital rights management system which enforces license rights by establishing an account domain of registered consumer devices which may each receive a decryption key to be used to decode digital content bought by any of the devices within the account domain. Such system further enables the decentralization of content sharing by establishing a network of trusted intermediate devices to manage licenses on end devices for a central rights provider.

  • Publication number: 20050044016
Abstract: A system is disclosed for a digital rights management system which enforces license rights by incorporating a decryption key in a license rights package that further includes an account number associated with a primary consumer. The digital rights management system also includes a mechanism for renewing/updating the license by charging the account number associated with a primary consumer. This way, the consumer may transfer the license rights package along with the digital content to any personal devices he likes but he is discouraged from freely disseminating the license package as uses by other consumers will be debited against his package or, if renewed/extended, charged against his account.

  • Patent number: 4850475
Abstract: The conveyor system has an endless chain slidingly mounted on and coiled about a frame. This chain has a spaced plurality of linked pins. A drive motor is coupled to the chain for circulating it around the frame. The system has an endless belt coiled around the frame for bearing edgewise over a predetermined length of the chain centrally on its pins. Thus, circulation of the chain causes circulation of the belt.
