  • Patent number: 6537534
Abstract: A waterless shaving system including a method of shavings consisting of the steps of applying a shaving product in the form of a thin transparent film of lubricant gel cream to a dry, unwetted skin surface area to be shaved thus leaving the hair in an erect and substantially rigid condition as compared to hair that has been wetted and soaked which results in the hair being hydrated and becoming limp and easily flexed or bent away from a razor blade when the blade comes into contact with the hair shaft in order to cut the erect hair shafts in a straight, transverse manner closely adjacent the skin surface area being shaved. The residual shaving product is rubbed into the skin area without washing off or rinsing off the skin area with water.

  • Patent number: 6374447
Abstract: A hand manipulated cordless rechargeable powered washing system powered by an electric motor and a rechargeable battery. The washing system includes an apparatus that is lightweight, self contained and submersible. The motor is a high speed motor having dual planetary reduction gear set to reduce the output to a low rpm high torque drive. The DC motor is powered by a rechargeable stick battery on the housing or on a handle attached to the housing. Interchangeable brushes can be used with different bristle arrangements. The handle is an elongated wand type handle having a U-shaped yoke at one end pivotally connected to the motor housing and includes a lock mechanism engaging a portion of the motor housing to lock the motor housing in rigid predetermined angular relation to the longitudinal axis of the wand type handle to enable a non-concentric, non-perpendicular bristle brush to be rigidly associated in a desired angular relation to the handle.

  • Patent number: 5914103
Abstract: A shaving lotion used when shaving with an electric razor. The shaving lotion includes a combination of lubricants, vitamins, aloe vera, moisturizers, sunscreen with or without sunless tanning and/or fragrance and other constituents to act as a skin enhancing and protecting product which also serves to reduce the appearance of fine lines in the skin surface. The shaving lotion is applied by utilizing a roller ball applicator prior to shaving with an electric razor and has the ability to orient the whiskers or hair vertically or perpendicular to the surface being shaved so that the whole hair shaft can effectively be directed through holes found in the foil shaver or through the grill openings found in a rotary shaver to cut the hair close to the skin surface. After shaving, the light residue of shaving lotion that remains on the skin surface is briskly rubbed into the skin surface to provide skin enhancement and protection.

  • Patent number: 5771591
Abstract: A disposable resilient razor in which the razor includes a handle and a razor head interconnected by a resilient, flexible, reduced diameter area of plastic material of one piece construction with the handle and head to enable universal or global flexible, resilient movement of the razor head in relation to the handle. The flexible, resilient, reduced diameter area connecting the handle to the razor head retains the handle and razor head in normal position until a force is applied to the handle when the razor head is engaged with a skin surface to be shaved. This enables a razor blade having a cutting edge mounted on the razor head to be oriented in parallel, substantially flush relation to the skin surface.

  • Patent number: 5217513
Abstract: An air filter assembly and more specifically the use and combination of a relatively inexpensive and easily replaced paper filter associated with a conventional polyfoam or fiberglass filter conventionally employed in an intake of an air duct system associated with an air conditioning system or air heating system utilized in homes, offices and the like. Specifically, the air filter assembly includes a rolled filter paper that is drawn across the upstream side of a polyfoam filter or fiberglass filter which acts as a support for the filter paper with the paper filter being replaced periodically by moving a new segment of paper filter from the paper supply roll to a position in alignment with and in engagement with the polyfoam filter and disposing of the used paper filter. An inspection window is provided in the air intake louver door normally provided in air conditioning/heating systems to enable the condition of the paper filter to be observed to determine if the paper filter should be changed.
