Patent number: 7896171Abstract: A gravity feed shelving system is provided in which specially configured tiers contain necked-down channels for the receiving, storing and dispensing of series of flexible packages such as flex bags. Each channel is configured with relatively wide receiving and dispensing portions at the rear and front of the tier, respectively, and a narrowed intermediate portion that partially compresses the flex bags and restrains them against their removal from the channel until the flex bag passes from the intermediate portion into the dispensing portion. The tier has an operatively sloped orientation so that, once placed within the receiving portion of the channel, each flex bag is urged along the channel and into the intermediate portion by the force of its own weight.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2007Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Universal Display & Fixtures CompanyInventor: Joseph M. Patent number: 6648151Abstract: A shelf assembly for organizing and merchandising a plurality of products. The shelf assembly comprises a shelf having a bottom, plurality of dividers extending from front to back, a pair of dividers and the bottom forming a track in which a column of products are arranged. A front member pivotal about a stop, or pivotally engaged with the dividers, prevents the forwardmost product within the column from falling off the front of the shelf. The pivotal front members enable product to be pulled forwardly off the shelf, minimizing the spacing necessary between adjacent shelves.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2001Date of Patent: November 18, 2003Assignee: L&P Property Management CompanyInventors: Joseph M. Battaglia, Rafael T. Bustos

Patent number: 6386379Abstract: A wire rack provides a point of purchase structure for displaying product. The product hangs from a plurality spaced parallel pairs of arms distributed along the length of the structure. The arrangement of arms and product enables the product to be stocked on or removed from the rack in any order without disturbing the remaining products on the rack. The rack may be temporarily and removably attached to a permanent structure so that a merchant may have feature sales. In a preferred embodiment, the structure may be a freezer or refrigerator and the rack may be hung over the top of a door of the freezer or refrigerator. Suction cups may be used to stabilize the position of the hanging rack or to completely support the rack when it cannot hang from a supporting structure.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2000Date of Patent: May 14, 2002Assignee: L & P Property Management CompanyInventor: Joseph M.
