    Abstract: A linear fire extinguisher system is described that includes a flexible, substantially closed plastic tube containing an extinguishant, the tube containing a multiplicity of selectively weakened pre-scored orifices at preselected spacing along the tube length, whereby sufficient heat from a fire contacting the tube will weaken and rupture the tube predictably and facilitate efficient discharge of the extinguishant directly onto the fire. The structure of the invention may include two coaxial inner and outer tubes, each tube containing extinguishant wherein the outer tube may initially rupture upon heating and discharge extinguishant onto the fire, the inner tube being available for rupture and discharge onto the fire upon re-ignition or if the discharge of the outer tube is insufficient to extinguish the fire.

    Abstract: An adjunct unit provides Incoming Caller Line Identification (ICLID) capability for a communication system. The adjunct unit interposed between the control unit and station sets of a communication system obtains ICLID from ringing central office lines and monitors signalling between the control unit and station sets to determine which stations are to receive the ICLID information. Using prestored database information the ICLID information can be used to obtain the calling party name for output to the station sets. The adjunct unit also outputs ICLID information to an application processor which stores calling records for the system.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an instructional ball hitting device which is designed to actively train the golfer to properly execute portions of his swing. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a ball support in the form of a golf tee is arranged in electrical communication with an indicator and a timer. When the golfer strikes the support with his club, a signal is transmitted from the support member to activate the indicator. According to this embodiment, the timer deactivates the indicator after a predetermined time period. The indicator is designed to train the golfer to keep his head down and his eyes formed on or near the ball support until the indicator has been deactivated. According to another embodiment, the speed of the golfer's backswing is measured by measuring the time period between contact of the clubhead and the two detectors. Various indicators are useful to indicate to the golfer whether his backswing is being executed at a proper speed.
