  • Publication number: 20130296835
Abstract: Lasers capable of lasing at least two wavelengths are provided having a lasing medium which is capable of lasing at a first wavelength and at a second wavelength. Also provided are laser workstations having two lasers driven by a single electronics drive system in which a single energy storage network is connected to a first laser pump chamber operative to excite a first laser medium and connected to a second laser pump chamber operative to excite a second laser medium. Also provided are methods of treating skin having a skin problem using multiple wavelengths of laser energy.

  • Publication number: 20090054956
Abstract: Lasers capable of lasing at least two wavelengths are provided having a lasing medium which is capable of lasing at a first wavelength and at a second wavelength. An output coupler is positioned along a longitudinal axis at a first end of the lasing medium and a first mirror, movable beam block shutter and second mirror are positioned sequentially along the longitudinal axis of the lasing medium at a second end of the lasing medium. The first mirror is highly reflective at a first wavelength, and the second mirror is highly reflective at a second wavelength while being transparent at the first wavelength. The beam block shutter is movable between a first position along the longitudinal axis of the lasing medium and between the first and second mirrors and a second position away from the longitudinal axis of the lasing medium.

  • Patent number: 5649818
Abstract: A method and apparatus for relighting a gas oven following interruption in the operation thereof due to a temporary failure or reduction in the energy level of a source of electric energy comprises instantaneously disconnecting the delivery of pressurized gas to the oven in response to a reduction in the level of the electric energy, slowly reducing the pressure of gas in the delivery system, monitoring the pressure of the gas, and restoring the delivery of fuel to the oven only if the energy supply is restored to a proper level within a short period of time and prior to a predetermined reduction of the gas pressure.

  • Patent number: 3969608
Abstract: Apparatus for conveying a viscous liquid from a tank through a supply line to a device to be supplied with such liquid and thence to the tank via a return line, the liquid being heated either in the supply line or in the return line, or both. The apparatus includes concentric conduits extending into the tank and establishing supply and return passages connected respectively to the supply line and the return line. The conduits terminate at different levels inside the tank and the shorter of the conduits carries a sleeve at that end which is inside the tank and which is adjustable from outside the tank so as to vary the effective length of such conduit to enable the lower end of either conduit to extend beyond the lower end of the other conduit.
