  • Publication number: 20230408020
Abstract: A method for reducing emissions from a vessel includes isolating the vessel from a downstream fluid flow line, purging a fluid from the vessel by injecting purging media into the vessel to push the fluid through a check valve of a vent tubing and into the downstream fluid flow line, and draining the purging media from the vessel. A first end of the vent tubing is coupled to the housing of the vessel, and a second end of the vent tubing is coupled to the downstream fluid flow line. Further, the vent tubing includes a check valve disposed between the first end and the second end, and the check valve is configured to allow fluid to flow from the housing to the downstream fluid flow line.

  • Publication number: 20230213277
Abstract: A natural gas pretreatment system includes a heat exchanger having a first inlet, a second inlet, a first outlet, and a second outlet. The first inlet receives a first pressurized gas stream having a first input temperature, and the second inlet receives a second pressurized gas stream having a second temperature. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature. The first outlet outputs the first gas stream; upon exiting the heat exchanger, the first gas stream has a first output temperature higher than the first input temperature. The second outlet outputs the second gas stream; upon exiting the heat exchanger, the second gas stream has a second output temperature lower than the second input temperature. The system further includes a pipeline network operable to receive the first pressurized gas stream.

  • Publication number: 20230193759
Abstract: A system includes a reciprocating expander including: a piston disposed in a chamber; a crankshaft; a connector rod coupled between the piston and the crankshaft and configured to transfer torque to the crankshaft in response to movement of the piston in the chamber; and a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet on one side of the piston. The system also includes a first flowpath coupled between a wellbore and the reciprocating expander and configured to communicate gas from the wellbore into the fluid inlet of the reciprocating expander at a first pressure. The system further includes a second flowpath coupled between the reciprocating expander and downstream equipment and configured to communicate the gas from the reciprocating expander toward the downstream equipment at a second pressure, the second pressure being lower than the first pressure.

  • Publication number: 20220268143
Abstract: A separator fluidly connected to a wellbore includes: a vessel defining an interior chamber; an inlet for delivering fluid produced from a wellbore into the vessel at a first pressure; an outlet through which gas is directed out of the vessel at a pressure substantially equal to the first pressure; at least one liquid/oil level sensor capable of detecting the level of liquid within the interior chamber of the vessel and the level of oil within the interior chamber; two electronically controlled valves in fluid communication with the vessel; and a controller connected to the at least one liquid/oil level sensor and the electronically controlled valves and programmed to, in response to a level of the liquid and a level of oil in the interior chamber of the vessel: open, close, or modulate the electronically controlled valves to regulate the combined flow liquid and oil out of the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20220154568
Abstract: A separator for a gas production facility includes a vessel defining an interior chamber. The vessel is designed to operate at a pressure greater than a pressure of a fluid being produced from a wellbore, the fluid including liquid, gas, sand and debris. The separator includes an inlet through which the fluid being produced from the wellbore is directed into the vessel, an electronically controlled valve in fluid communication with a lower portion of the vessel, and an outlet through which the gas is directed out of the vessel at a pressure substantially equal to the pressure of the fluid being produced from the wellbore. The separator includes a controller programmed to open, close, or modulate the electronically controlled valve to regulate flow of the liquid, sand and debris out of the lower portion of the vessel in response to a level of the liquid detected within the interior chamber.

  • Patent number: 9856728
Abstract: A method for pumping fluid at a wellhead. The invented method will improve liquid removal by eliminating the need to transport liquid produced from a well to containment facilities using trucks or large diameter pipelines capable of accommodating periodic surges of a high volume of fluid. The danger that the liquid will freeze in cold weather is also addressed. The invention removes liquid from the well site through a small diameter pipeline as a continuous flow at a constant flow rate.
