  • Patent number: 6448490
Abstract: An assembly for shielding EMF/RF radiation emitted from portable telephones including a case having a shielding material capable of attenuating EMF/RF radiation. The case substantially encloses a portable telephone and includes at least one aperture for passage of a connector base. The assembly further includes an antenna capable of radial and tilt motion with respect to the portable telephone. The antenna is mounted to the connector base which is removably attached to the portable telephone and in contact with the case. A handle portion is attached along an exterior portion of the case. A shielding antenna case for shielding EMF/RF radiation emitted from portable telephones is also disclosed. The antenna case includes a shielding material capable of attenuating EMF/RF radiation and substantially encloses an antenna portion of the portable telephone. Attachment tabs are used for affixing the case to the portable telephone by way of fasteners.

  • Publication number: 20020074142
Abstract: A radiation protection shield for electronic devices is provided to shield a user from electro-magnetic and microwave radiation emitted from an electronic device. The radiation shield may be inexpensively manufactured by punching or die cutting sheets of material. Fastening components are provided which allow the shield to be adjustably fitted on a variety of differently sized and configured electronic devices. An additional shielding member is also provided for enhanced shielding in the area of the electronic device adjacent an antenna.

  • Patent number: 6146709
Abstract: A process for application of a protective coating to a steel, concrete, or wooden structure so as to provide protection against corrosion, weathering, or other environmental damage in which the surface to be protected is heated to a temperature in a range of about 75.degree. F. to about 150.degree. F. after which a liquid thermoset primer is applied to the heated material in two stages. The first portion is solidified by heating and then coated with a second portion, forming an uncured liquid thermoset outer primer layer. A melted polymer powder layer is then applied by flamespraying over the uncured liquid thermoset primer layer, forming an intermediate polymer powder layer embedded in the uncured liquid thermoset primer layer.
