    Abstract: Embodiments include a collapsible utility pole that snowboarders can carry easily in their pants pocket and can be quickly pulled out and extended to a completely rigid pole to push themselves over flat sections of downhill runs. The utility pole can also being useful when getting off the chair lift to move toward the slopes. Embodiments of the device have the capability of being converted into a small shovel or ice pick by detaching the snow basket and attaching a desired device.
