  • Publication number: 20210002793
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a core-sheath filament. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath, wherein the sheath exhibits a melt flow index of less than 15 grams per 10 minutes. The present disclosure also provides a method of printing an adhesive. The method includes a) melting a core-sheath filament in a nozzle to form a molten composition, and b) dispensing the molten composition through the nozzle onto a substrate. Steps a) and b) are carried out one or more times to form a printed adhesive. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process using a core-sheath filament, the article including a printed adhesive based on the digital object.

  • Publication number: 20200348319
Abstract: The invention provides methods of diagnosing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) by analyzing ratios of concentrations of selected amine containing compounds in a sample, such as a blood sample, from a subject. Based on the discovery that specific amine containing compounds and their ratios are dysregulated in patients with ASD, these metabotypes or subtypes of metabolism have the potential to diagnose earlier and suggest more precise treatment based on the metabolism of the individual. The invention provides methods of analyzing amine containing compounds and ratios in a test subject and determining whether the test subject has or is at risk of developing an ASD by comparing ratios from the test subject to ratios from subjects diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder such as ASD who share a common profile of metabolism which is not found in the majority of typically developing subjects.

  • Patent number: 10544711
Abstract: A rocker arm includes an outer arm having a first wall and a second wall and an inner arm which selectively pivots relative to the outer arm about a pivot shaft axis based on positioning of a lock pin. A lost motion spring includes an outer arm tang grounded to the outer arm and an inner arm tang grounded to the inner arm. A roller shaft is supported by the inner arm and extends toward the first wall. The roller shaft carries a roller which follows a camshaft. A roller retainer is carried by the roller shaft and is located between the roller and the first wall and includes a surface with which the inner arm tang is engaged to ground the lost motion spring to the inner arm through the roller shaft.

  • Patent number: 10465566
Abstract: A rocker arm includes an outer arm defining a bore; an inner arm which pivots relative to the outer arm, the inner arm defining a stop surface; a lost motion spring which biases the inner arm to pivot relative to the outer arm in a first direction; and a lock pin that slides within the bore between a coupled position in which the lock pin prevents the inner arm from pivoting relative to the outer arm past a predetermined position in a second direction which is opposite of the first direction and a decoupled position in which the lock pin permits the inner arm to pivot relative to the outer arm past the predetermined position in the second direction; such that the lock pin and the stop surface act together to limit the extent to which the inner arm pivots relative to the outer arm in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 10253657
Abstract: A rocker arm includes an outer arm defining a stop aperture with a stop surface; an inner arm which selectively pivots relative to the outer arm; a latching mechanism which switches the rocker arm between a coupled state in which the inner arm is prevented from pivoting relative to the outer arm in a first direction and a decoupled state in which the inner arm pivots relative to the outer arm; a lost motion spring which biases the inner arm to pivot relative to the outer arm in a second direction which is opposite from the first direction; and a stop pin fixed to the inner arm and extending into the stop aperture such that the stop pin is circumferentially surrounded by the stop surface and such that the stop pin within the stop aperture limits the extent to which the inner arm pivots relative to the outer arm.

  • Publication number: 20180238199
Abstract: A rocker arm includes an outer arm; an inner arm which selectively pivots relative to the outer arm; and a latching arrangement which switches the rocker arm between a coupled state and a decoupled state. The latching arrangement includes a connecting bore which is terminated by a connecting bore floor; an oil supply bore which opens into the connecting bore through the connecting bore floor; a lock pin bore which opens into the connecting bore through the connecting bore floor; a lock pin within the lock pin bore where the lock pin prevents the inner arm from pivoting in the coupled state and where the lock pin permits the inner arm to pivot in the coupled state; and a retainer within the connecting bore which defines a chamber within the connecting bore which provides fluid communication between the oil supply bore and the lock pin bore.
