  • Publication number: 20230342512
Abstract: Systems and methods for automotive shape design by combining computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Generative Adversarial Network (GAN). CFD simulations may be performed to determine aerodynamic properties and identify a set of candidate vehicle outline shapes. Vehicle shape outlines may be provided as input to a generative adversarial network (GAN) that is trained to learn aesthetic preferences for vehicle attributes. The GAN may be used to determine, by based on the vehicle outline shape, a set of vehicle attributes. The GAN may be used to generate photo-realistic images with the vehicle shape outline and filling in additional aesthetic styles for the given outline, such as different colors, lighting, visual appearance, wheel design, aspect ratio, etc.

  • Publication number: 20150254613
Abstract: A central recycling system manages refrigerant recycling by storing parameters describing a financial contribution from at least one participating entity to an incentive fund, receiving data about a used refrigerant-based appliance surrendered by a consumer, receiving data about disassembly of the used refrigerant-based appliance including recovery of refrigerant, receiving data about a recycling process applied to the recovered refrigerant, and determining a point of sale value associated with recycling the used refrigerant-based appliance based on the received data and the stored parameters. The recycling includes at least one of reclaiming and destroying the recovered refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20140337041
Abstract: The invention provides a mobile application, system, interface and method for monitoring, encouraging and rewarding user compliance with a blood glucose level monitoring regimen. It combines a server-client based application enabling scheduling of tasks, input of data, reminders, notifications, permission based sharing of data, synchronous messaging, rewards based on compliance, and community support cross-language and cross-platform. The client application is a mobile web application (such as an iphone application) installed on a network connected mobile or desktop device. The client application may also be a web site that is stored on a server and accessed through a network such as the internet. The server and mobile applications exchange data with one another through the network using standard networking and wireless protocols. The application defines and exchanges information according to permission based rules which can be monitored and modified remotely by a parent or guardian.

  • Publication number: 20070137546
Abstract: Systems and processes for controlling and/or preventing fouling of marine vessel hulls and fixed structures are disclosed. The systems and processes deliver an anti-fouling composition through a dispersing means, such as dispersion tubing, to the surface of a vessel hull or fixed structure below the water line. Also disclosed are methods of controlling the delivery of an anti-fouling composition to the surface of a vessel hull or fixed structure below the waterline, including the steps of generating signals representative of parameters such as current flow direction and speed and water temperature, to identify and control the proper volume release rate of the anti-fouling solution.

  • Publication number: 20070108927
Abstract: A universal controller for an automatic door system including a door carried on a frame for movement along a predetermined path of movement between open and closed positions. The universal controller includes a housing for mounting the controller in a stationary position relative to the door frame and an assembly including a processor carried by the housing for processing data operatively received from a plurality of sensors and relating to the operation of the movable door. The processor is configured to generate operational values which are transmitted to and control a drive motor used to move the door between the open and closed positions. The assembly further includes an arrangement for adjusting the operational values generated by the processor and transmitted to the drive motor. A modular harness connects the controller to the drive motor and to the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20020067740
Abstract: A telecommunications encoder for converting synchronous data to asynchronous data includes a signal processor configured to process signals to perform tasks on portions of collected synchronous data and to output asynchronous, packetized data. Control logic, associated with the signal processor, is configured to initiate performance of tasks by the signal processor at respective start times of the tasks and configured to control collection of synchronous data based on run times of the tasks such that collection of synchronous data for a given task is completed approximately at the start time of the given task.

  • Patent number: 4100733
Abstract: Apparatus for supplying fuel to the combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine is disclosed. Techniques for increasing combustion efficiency and for decreasing the percentage of noxious emissions in the effluent from the chamber are developed. Axially extending tubes are used extensively in the disclosed embodiments of the invention for premixing gaseous or vaporized fuel with air in the supply means upstream of the combustion chamber. In addition to operation on natural gas and vaporized liquid fuels, the embodiments shown are adaptable to efficiently burn gasified coal fuels having heating values as low as 80 BTU per standard cubic foot (BTU/scf).
