Publication number: 20020152298Abstract: A control system for operating and integrating automated applications in a small building environment. The control system includes a plurality of application controllers that control the operation of various automated applications, such as HVAC, lighting, access control and security. The control system further includes a local control interface that integrates and coordinates/controls operation of the various application controllers. The local control interface is preprogrammed with profiles for each of the different types of application controllers designed to operate with the system, but also is able to acquire new profiles from new or custom application controllers that are unknown to the local control interface at the time of installation. The profiles include control variable definitions for each of the control variables supported by the corresponding application controller. This information permits self-configuration of the application controllers.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 11, 2002Publication date: October 17, 2002Inventors: Christopher Kikta, Bruce Arnold, Peter J. Patent number: 5123565Abstract: Attachment for a paint can substantially eliminates accumulation of paint within the groove encircling the rim of the paint can. A rigid plate having planar top and bottom surfaces includes a central opening. A first set of spiked pegs are mounted to and extend normal from the bottom surface of the plate. The pegs are equally, annularly spaced such that they may be aligned within the groove of the can. The plate may then be forced down upon the can whereupon the pegs pierce the bottom of the groove to form holes therein. The plate thus lies in tight, covering relation over the rim of the can preventing paint from entering the groove. When the plate is removed from the can, the holes formed in the groove allow paint which thereafter collects in the groove to pass therethrough and back into the can. A second set of pegs are provided to alternately accomodate a different size paint can.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1991Date of Patent: June 23, 1992Inventor: Joseph Majewski

Patent number: 5033486Abstract: A hairpiece is attached and fitted by first removing from the scalp of the wearer, a length of the wearer's natural hair along a band below the wearer's natural hair line, and attaching the hairpiece along the band of removed hair in order to produce a long-term and closely fitting securement of the hairpiece to the scalp. Preferably, the band of removed natural hair extends along a generally circumferential length around the wearer's scalp while retaining a small amount of short strands of the natural hair within the band to promote bonded adhesion of the hairpiece foundation along the band.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 1990Date of Patent: July 23, 1991Assignee: Hairline Creations, Inc.Inventors: Paul V. Finamore, Joseph Majewski
