  • Publication number: 20240122599
Abstract: An assembly for a closure device includes a cap with a distal portion having a recess to receive tissue and a proximal portion fitting over a face of an endoscope. The proximal portion includes fold(s) between a first region and a first end of a second region. The cap expands from a collapsed state in which an angle of the first region relative to a longitudinal axis of the endoscope is at a minimum to an expanded state in which the angle is increased. Based on the angle and reflectivity of the first region, an endoscopic camera on the face is provided an increased field of view in the expanded state relative to the collapsed state. The device captures tissue when the cap is in the expanded state via an actuation mechanism extending through a channel of the endoscope into the distal portion.

  • Publication number: 20080077592
Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus and method includes storing in a database at least one device record of an associated pair of parameters received from at least one client device during a provisioning of the at least one client device, with the associated pair of parameters including a build predefined identifier unique to the at least client device and a public key generated by the at least one client device. In response to an access-seeking client device seeking access to a private computer network, an authentication server receives a requested predefined identifier from the access-seeking client device and uses the requested predefined identifier to search the at least one device record in the database for a matched device record.

  • Publication number: 20070107113
Abstract: A Karate Cap is disclosed for use as both a head cover and as a defense weapon. The Karate Cap has a visor with an outer edge. A crown has a center point and an outer edge. The visor is secured to the crown along a portion of the outer edge and extends from the crown. The crown has an inner surface and an outer surface. An impact disk is mounted generally at the center point on the outside surface of the crown and the impact disk being circular and made from a hard dense material with a diameter in the range of three quarters of an inch to one and a quarter inches and with a thickness in the range of three sixteenths of an inch to five sixteenths of an inch. An outer disk cover is located over the impact disk opposite from the outside surface of the crown. The outer disk cover is circular. An inner disk cover is located on the inside surface of the crown. The inner disk cover is circular. The inner disk cover is secured to the inside surface of the crown.

  • Patent number: 5414565
Abstract: A tilting kinematic mount having optics which may be precisely positioned so as to direct light or other energy to a number of measuring devices. Optic carrying tilting plates, interleaved with stationary plates are moved by linear actuators. An arrangement of balls and grooves establishes positioning of the tilting plates in a kinematic mount relative to the stationary plates, thus achieving the precise rearrangement of optical elements relative to a central axis and the redirection of the energy beam onto the sensing devices.
