  • Publication number: 20230114454
Abstract: In an embodiment, a device comprises a solar panel configured to harvest power from energy emitted as light by an indoor light source, a camera, and a processor coupled to the solar panel and the camera. The processor can be configured to: receive at least some of the power harvested by the solar panel, capture an image via the camera, and transmit the image to a computing device. A battery can be coupled to the solar panel and the processor that can be configured to store at least some of the power harvested by the solar panel and provide at least some of the stored power to the processor.

  • Patent number: 11620140
Abstract: A configurable user interface architecture to be used in high integrity safety critical avionic systems and is adaptable to multiple cockpit displays has a protocol-agnostic layer that handles entry and display update behaviors, and a protocol-specific layer that connects the entry and display behaviors to protocol-specific input/output messages using configuration tables. The configuration tables are built using a specially designed configuration tool and the configuration table built by the tool can be embedded in the target user interface software or loaded externally into a pre-compiled application.

  • Publication number: 20230053189
Abstract: An endoscopic vessel harvesting system for surgical removal of a blood vessel to be used for coronary bypass uses endoscopic instruments for isolating and severing the vessel. An endoscopic camera in the endoscopic instruments captures images from a distal tip of the instrument within a dissected tunnel around the vessel. An image processor assembles a three-dimensional model of the tunnel from a series of images captured by the endoscopic camera. An augmented-reality display coupled to the image processor renders (e.g., visibly displays to the user in their field of view) a consolidated map representing the three-dimensional model along with a marker in association with the map indicating a current location of the distal tip.

  • Publication number: 20230051869
Abstract: A vessel harvesting system removes a target vessel from a patient for use as a bypass. An elongated harvesting instrument inserts into a body along a path of a target vessel which includes at least one side branch. The harvesting instrument includes a cutter for applying thermal energy to sever and cauterize the side branch. An endoscopic camera captures visible-light images from a distal tip of the instrument within a dissected tunnel around the target vessel. A thermal camera captures thermograms coinciding with the visible-light images to characterize a temperature present at respective surfaces in the tunnel. An image processor (e.g., an electronic controller) renders a video stream including the visible-light images and an overlay depicting the temperatures present on at least some of the respective surfaces when applying the thermal energy. A display presenting the video stream and overlay to a user can be an augmented-reality display.

  • Patent number: 11427771
Abstract: A slurry separator comprising a moving blade that wipes slurry oil onto a wall of the slurry separator for separating a recovered oil stream from a concentrated residue stream has the capability of maximizing recovery of the LCO from slurry oil as well as removing both the catalyst fines as well as coke particles suspended in the slurry oil. The slurry separator can be fed directly from the main column bottoms. Advantageously, the process and apparatus can enable the FCC unit to achieve higher production of LCO and higher value clarified slurry oil more efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20210294358
Abstract: An apparatus to distribute pressurized fluid from one or more sources to multiple wellbores. The apparatus includes a manifold having at least two inlets and at least two outlets. Pressurized fluid is brought into the manifold from opposing directions so that the fluid from one inlet will impinge upon the fluid from the other inlet thereby de-energizing the fluid. Additionally, the manifold is configured such that the cross-sectional area of the inlets is less than the cross-sectional area of the manifold thereby decreasing velocity minimizing the kinetic energy available to erode or otherwise damage equipment, while providing a pressure decrease as the fluid enters the manifold. The outlets are configured such that the cross-sectional area of the outlets providing fluid to a single wellbore is greater than or equal to the cross-sectional area of the inlets such that no pressure increase occurs within the manifold or the outlets as the fluid exits the manifold.
