Abstract: A reader for obtaining a plurality of categorized digital content from a content aggregator framework over a communications network based on a content subscription with the aggregator framework, the reader configured for operation on a digital device. The reader includes an interface module configured for receiving content category selections from a user of the device and for identifying a profile of the user including one or more user definitions. A communications module communicates the profile and the content selections to the aggregator framework; and a generation module configured presents updated versions of the digital content to device user when the updated digital content becomes available from the aggregator framework, such that the digital content is assigned to one or more of the content categories as selected by the user. The user definitions of the profile and the content selections of the user are used to determine the contents of the updated digital content obtained by the reader.

Abstract: A framework and methodology providing for navigation of the connectedness of selected entities of a plurality of entities adapted for display on a user interface. The system and method can comprise a receipt module for receiving a first search request for determining a secondary entity of said plurality of entities in relation to a primary entity of said plurality of entities. The first search request includes at least one search parameter associated with the primary entity for use in determining the secondary entity from said plurality of entities. The system and method can further comprise a search module for determining the secondary entity as matching the first search request according to a predefined inclusion threshold and a generation module for generating a primary connection view including a domain having a plurality of sectors.

Abstract: An entity recommendation system for providing a search result in response to a search request of a user communicated over a communications network. The system comprises a storage for storing a plurality of profiles for a corresponding plurality of registered entities of different entity types, such that the plurality of profiles includes the profile of the user when registered as one of the registered entities. Each of the profiles includes a profile parameter defining a characteristic of the respective registered entity and an entity identifier. The system and method also include a receipt module configured for receiving the search request including an identity of the user and at least one search parameter.

Abstract: A system and method for generating secondary advertising content for presentation on a user interface of a device in association with primary publishing content. The system and method comprise a queue for receiving the primary content including a plurality of identifiable textual elements for analysis as candidates to associate with the secondary content. The plurality of identifiable textual elements are distributed in a number of defined regions of the primary content such as paragraphs. The system and method also have a content analyzer module configured for accessing the primary content and for performing a contextual analysis of the plurality of identifiable textual elements. The analysis includes determining for each of the number of defined regions those key elements from the identifiable textual elements that match element entries in at least one key element list. The analysis further includes determining a density of the matched key elements from a specified region of the number of defined regions.
