  • Patent number: 8682146
Abstract: AVClip recorded in BD-ROM is obtained by multiplexing a graphics stream and a video stream. The graphics stream is a PES packet sequence that includes 1) PES packets storing graphics data (ODS) and 2) PES packets storing control information (PCS). In each ODS, values of DTS and PTS indicate a timing of decoding start for corresponding graphics data, and a timing of decoding end for corresponding graphics data, respectively. In each PCS, a value of PTS indicates a display timing of corresponding decoded graphics data combined with the video stream.

  • Patent number: 8676040
Abstract: A BD-ROM has recorded therein an AV Clip generated by multiplexing a video stream and a graphics stream. The graphics stream represents an interactive display to be overlayed with the video stream, and includes a sequence of three Button State groups. The interactive display includes a plurality of buttons, each of which changes from a normal state to a selected state, and from the selected state to an active state, according to a user operation. In the three Button State groups in the graphics stream, the first-order group (N-ODSs) is made of a plurality of pieces of graphics data, which represent normal states of the buttons, the second-order group (S-ODSs) is made of a plurality of pieces of graphics data, which represent selected states of the buttons, and the third-order group (A-ODSs) is made of a plurality of pieces of graphics data, which represent active states of the buttons.

  • Patent number: 8515238
Abstract: A BD-ROM contains an AVClip in which a video stream is multiplexed with an interactive graphics stream. The video stream constitutes a moving picture. On the other hand, the graphics stream constitutes menu presentations to be combined with a moving picture. The graphics stream includes a plurality of display sets constituting the menu presentations. Each of the display sets has interactive control information (ICS). Among the display sets belonging to the graphics stream, the interactive control information (ICS) other than the one belonging to the head one include version information (page_version_number) indicating whether or not content of the menu presentation has changed with respect to the previous Display Set.

  • Patent number: 8490017
Abstract: A BD-ROM stores a video stream and a graphics stream. The video stream represents a moving picture. The graphics stream is used for overlaying a multi-page menu on the moving picture, and includes interactive control information (ICS) and graphics data (ODS) used for generating the multi page menu. A PTS attached to a PES packet containing the interactive control information shows timing for the first presentation of a main page the multi-page menu in accordance with the proceeding of the video stream playback. In addition, the interactive control information includes information (selection_time_out_pts) showing a timeout upon which a button on a page of the multi-page menu is automatically activated, and information (user_time_out_duration) showing a timeout upon which a sub-page of the multi-page menu is automatically removed.

  • Patent number: 8452165
Abstract: A plurality of video streams and STN_table are recorded in the local storage 200. Each of the plurality of video streams is a secondary video stream to be played together with a primary video stream, and includes picture data representing a child image to be displayed in Picture in Picture that is composed of a parent image and the child image. In the STN_table, entries of secondary video streams that are permitted to be played are described in the order of priority.

  • Patent number: 8369682
Abstract: An AV Clip formed by multiplexing a video stream and a graphics stream and recorded on a BD-ROM as a recording medium. The video stream constitutes a moving picture while the graphics stream enables graphics to be overlaid on the moving picture, and includes pieces of control information called a PCS and an ICS. When the AV Clip is played back immediately following playback of another digital stream, the control information indicates to the reproduction device that the presence of data already in memory of a graphics decoder is to be continuous.

  • Patent number: 8233779
Abstract: An AV Clip generated by multiplexing video and graphics streams is recorded on a BD-ROM. The graphics stream includes a plurality of DSs (Display Sets) which are each a group of segments used for graphics display. ODSs (Object Definition segments) belonging to a DS include a referenced ODS and a non-referenced ODS. The non-referenced ODS is an ODS that is not referenced by a PCS (Presentation Composition Segment) included in the display set. An END segment is provided immediately following a last ODS of the sequence of the referenced ODS and the non-referenced ODS in the display set.

  • Patent number: 8139915
Abstract: An AV Clip generated by multiplexing a video stream and a graphics stream is recorded on a BD-ROM. The graphics stream includes a plurality of DSs (Display Sets) each of which is used for graphics display and includes a control segment and graphics data. When an active period of the control segment in the DS overlaps with an active period of a control segment in an immediately preceding DS on a reproduction time axis of the video stream the graphics data in the DS is assigned a different object_id from graphics data which is referenced by the control segment in the immediately preceding DS, so as to prevent graphics generated by decoding the graphics data in the DS from overwriting graphics generated by decoding the graphics data referenced by the control segment in the immediately preceding DS.

  • Patent number: 8121463
Abstract: An AV Clip generated by multiplexing video and graphics streams is recorded on a BD-ROM. The graphics stream includes an interactive graphics stream. PTS(DSn[ICS]), which is a presentation time stamp of a packet containing an ICS (Interactive Composition Segment) in a n-th display set DSn, designates an end time of an active period of the ICS, and DTS(DSn+1[ICS]), which is a decoding time stamp of a packet containing an ICS in an immediately succeeding display set DSn+1, designates a start time of an active period of the ICS. PTS(DSn[ICS]) and DTS(DSn+1[ICS]) satisfy a relation PTS(DSn[ICS])?DTS(DSn+1[ICS]).
