Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for providing hearing aid. An open ear canal hearing aid may be provided in accordance with an embodiment of the invention. The hearing aid may include a part that contains electronic components, a passive amplifier, and a securing mechanism. The securing mechanism may include bristles or balloons. The securing mechanism may have various configurations and be adjustable. In some embodiments, the hearing aid may transmit sound via bone conduction and air conduction.

Abstract: A method is provided of forming a multi-pack container assembly having at least two containers joined together by a channel. The method includes the steps of providing sheet having a barrier layer thermoforming the sheet into a multi-pack container assembly having a plurality of containers wherein each container comprises a flange and the flanges of adjacent containers are connected by an engineered area of weakness or channel. Resultant containers can be used for low-moisture, shelf-stable, ready-to-eat food products.

Abstract: The invention relates to a delivery device designed to carry Mineral Water Bottle (MWB) counter charges, by remote means, to a target Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during render-safe procedures. The delivery device is die-cut as a blank and folded into the desired form. The device includes at least one elongated tubular holding element for receiving a MWB counter charge with a lifting strap attached thereto that can easily be grasped by any remote means. The device is designed in such a way so as to provide automatic positioning of the MWB counter charges at the appropriate stand-off distance in relation to the IED. As well, the delivery device is fully collapsible so as to facilitate the storage and transportation of the device, and provides a quick and user-friendly system that facilitates the deployment of MWB counter charges.

Abstract: A release mechanism for use with an explosives disposal robot having an elongated boom includes a latch member secured to an outer end of the boom, the latch member having a fixed portion and movable latch or lever members. A flexible strap extends between the lever members, with one end being attached to one of the lever members and the other end being releasably attached to the other lever member. When the other lever member is moved to a release position the other end of the strap falls from the other lever member so as to release, for example, a firing line cradled in the strap. The one lever member can be actuated by way of a remote controlled solenoid connected thereto via a flexible cable or by way of an elastic member connected thereto.

Abstract: A landing gear having a telescopic cross shaft extending between the cylindrical stub shafts protruding from both screw jacks thereof. The telescopic cross shaft is made of square structural tubing. The telescopic cross shaft has a pair of end-casing members and a central-stem member. The end-casing members have a combined length of less than a distance between the legs of the landing gear. The end-casing members are slidably engaged over both ends of the central-stem member with loose-fit connections. The end-casing members are also respectively mounted over the stub shafts of the landing gear with loose-fit connections.

Abstract: Sheet registration with improved sheet deskewing of print media sheets may be provided with an intermediately transversely pivotal baffle member overlying and engaging at least part of a buckled sheet being edge registered so that the effective buckle chamber size and sheet path length on one side of the sheet is automatically different from the other side of the sheet with said pivoting of said pivotal baffle member, to assist in the deskewing of the sheet as it is being partially buckled by the sheet registration system. The direction and amount of baffle pivoting may be self-pivoted by the extent of transverse buckle difference, or positively driven in response to a detected sheet skew.

The multi-functional cap nests over and seals the mouth end of the container, inverts to seat on the mouth of the container as a bowl, and nests over the base of the container for storage while the container is in use.

Abstract: The user interface disclosed in the present disclosure allows the user to ‘tune’ to a ‘content’ station just like he is accustomed to tuning to a radio station. The channel band GUI presents various content or feature bands as rotating belts of icons with each icon representing a channel on the band. The use of graphical belts enables a dynamic number of channels per band and the dynamic number of bands. The graphical presentation of the bands includes the presentation of sub-band “visual hints” as a user highlights a channel on a given band. Provided that there is sufficient room on the display, a super-band visual hint can be used to indicate to the user that the current band is a sub-band. The user tunes to a channel by rotating a dial and selecting a channel from the band. A channel can be ‘fine tuned’ by rotating the dial within the channel ‘band’ and making a selection that presents a sub-band for that channel.

The dry food product acts as a desiccant, thereby protecting the EVOH layer from moisture.
