Patent number: 11271997Abstract: Connecting user equipment (UE) to an application can be managed based on UE movement and location. During data session between UE and application, a communication management component (CMC) associated with anchor network component (ANC) or serving network component (SNC) determines UE location, and connects UE to the ANC and SNC, which enables access of the application via a data network associated with ANC. As UE moves, CMC tracks UE movement and communication conditions. If, when UE is at second location, a communication condition breaches threshold level, CMC determines whether interruption of the data session is permitted. If not, CMC determines whether there is a local SNC in proximity to second location. If there is, CMC can switch UE from SNC to local SNC, which can access local application content via local data network associated with application. If interruption permitted, UE deactivates and reactivates to connect to local ANC.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2020Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Jiansong Wang, Joseph Mueller

Patent number: 11231691Abstract: A building management system (BMS) including a controller having an adaptive interaction manager and an agent manager. The system further includes one or more input-output (I/O) devices, the I/O devices in communication with the adaptive interaction manager. The controller further including a number of BMS field devices. The I/O devices are configured to receive an input from a user, and further configured to communicate the input to the adaptive interaction manager. The agent manager is configured to determine if one or more existing software agents are capable of performing the desired action, and to automatically transmit the existing software agents to one or more of the BMS field devices based on the agent manager determining the existing software agents are capable of performing the desired action. The software agents are configured to automatically be installed in a processing circuit of the BMS field device to perform the required action.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2017Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: JOHNSON CONTROLS TECHNOLOGY COMPANYInventors: Sudhi Sinha, Daniel M. Publication number: 20210255844Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for creating and using native virtual probes in computing environments. A request for a service that includes a virtual function can be received, where the virtual function is to be monitored by a native virtual probe. An image of the service can be obtained, where the image can include a first image component for the virtual function and a second image component for the native virtual probe. The image can be deployed. Deployment of the image can result in instantiation of the virtual function on a computing device and instantiation of the native virtual probe on the computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2020Publication date: August 19, 2021Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Jiansong Wang, Joseph Mueller

Publication number: 20190287429Abstract: A method and apparatus for avoidance of damage to concealed mechanical elements during construction or repair of a structure. In one embodiment, a tag is provided for installation on a plumbing or similar element prior to such element being concealed by further construction. The tag is adapted to engage a concealed element in such a way that an indicator portion of the tab remains visible after further concealing structure is installed. The visible tab's location identifies the location of concealed elements and is preferably provided with indicia identifying such purpose. In a further embodiment of the invention, adhesive indicator tape is used in conjunction with an indicator tab. The indicator tape is adapted to be applied over concealing structure to generally identify the location and extent of concealed elements that may be susceptible to puncture or damage during subsequent construction or repair phases of a project.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2018Publication date: September 19, 2019Applicant: DRM Specialties, LLCInventors: Randall L.
