  • Patent number: 10658779
Abstract: A connector for establishing electrical connections with a PCB comprises first and second sets of contact pads arranged in first and second rows on a same surface of the PCB. The connector includes a first set of elongated contacts, a second set of elongated contacts, and a contact block. The first set of contacts have contact surfaces that form a first row of contact surfaces configured to make and break electrical connectivity with the first set of contact pads of the PCB. The second set of contacts have contact surfaces that form a second row of contact surfaces configured to make and break electrical connectivity with the second set of contact pads of the PCB. The contact block supports the first and second sets of contacts and causes the contact surfaces to wipe against the first and second sets of contact pads when making and breaking electrical connectivity therewith.

  • Patent number: 9105376
Abstract: A shielded electrical ribbon cable is disclosed. The cable includes a plurality of conductor sets including a first conductor set adjacent a second conductor set. Each conductor set includes one or more insulated conductors. The cable further includes first and second shielding films disposed on opposite sides of the cable forming cover portions and pinched portions, where the cover portions substantially surround each conductor set, and the pinched portions form pinched portions of the cable on each side of each conductor set. The insulated conductors in a conductor set are not in a same geometrical plane. A first insulated conductor of the first conductor set is nearest the second conductor set. A second insulated conductor of the second conductor set is nearest the first conductor set. The first and second insulated conductors have a center-to-center spacing S. The first insulated conductor has an outer dimension D1 and the second insulated conductor has an outer dimension D2. S/Dmin is in a range from 1.

  • Publication number: 20140248803
Abstract: Example coaxial connector assemblies are described. In one example, a coaxial connector assembly (10) may include first (12) and second (14) connectors that may be securely mated and unmated from each other. When mated, first and second connectors may collectively include a plurality of cable assemblies. Each cable assembly may include a coaxial cable including a center conductor that may be electrically coupled to a pin (20a) within a receptacle when the first and second connectors are mated. Ground contacts may separate neighboring pins and center conducts as well as shield structures to decrease interference between respective cable assemblies.
