  • Publication number: 20190236108
Abstract: A search continuation device and its operations include, for example, performing a first electronic search based on first search criteria. The first electronic search generates first search results. The operations can further include electronically storing search data associated with the first electronic search (e.g., in a user account). The operations can further include performing a second electronic search with second search criteria substantially similar to the first search criteria. The second electronic search generates second search results. The operations can further include, retrieving the search data (e.g., from the user account), and providing, based on the search data, one or more indicators for presentation with the second search results. The one or more indicators specify continued search information, such as a degree to which content contained within an item of the first search results was previously accessed or a difference between the first search results and the second search results.

  • Patent number: 10353187
Abstract: This invention includes a flexible Fresnel lens assembly which can be efficiently stowed into a small volume, and then deployed with a mechanism, including structural elements, that provides tensioning at the ends of the lens assembly to position and support the lens assembly in proper position relative to a photovoltaic receiver, onto which the lens assembly focuses sunlight for conversion into electricity. The flexible stretched lens assembly includes a transparent prismatic polymer film, comprising a refractive optical element, attached to flexible cords, fibers, or wires that carry the bulk of the tension load in the stretched lens assembly when it is deployed in its final functional position. This present invention represents a critical and mission-enabling improvement to an earlier stretched lens array invention described in U.S. Pat. No. 6,075,200 (Reference 1).

  • Patent number: 10325791
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) includes an elastomeric material that facilitates adhesive attachment with a pick-up head for pick and place manufacturing operations. The LED includes an epitaxial layer defining a mesa structure and a light emitting surface. The mesa structure includes an active layer to emit light, and the emitted light is reflected at the mesa structure toward a light emitting region of the light emitting surface and transmitted at the light emitting region. An elastomeric material is on a portion of the light emitting surface, such as the light emitting region or a passive region. At the light emitting region, the elastomeric material may be shaped as a lens that collimates light transmitted from the light emitting region, and also facilitates adhesion to the pick-up head. At the passive region, the elastomeric material facilitates adhesion to the pick-up head without interfering with light emitted from the light emitting region.

  • Patent number: 10318276
Abstract: A data patch for a program already installed in an interactive display computer system is received over a network and stored. There is also received a first set of parameters for controlling the installation of the patch. At the computer, a second set of parameters for controlling optimum installation time periods is predetermined wherein the data patch may be installed. The first and second sets of parameters are correlated to determine a set of optimum time periods during which the data patch may be installed, and this set of time periods are displayed so that a user may interactively select an optimum time period for installation of the data patch.
