Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a bolt lock, a door including the bolt lock, and a method of installing the bolt lock. The bolt lock can include: a housing including a cavity; a bolt at least partially within the cavity, the bolt translating between a retracted position and an extended position, relative to the housing, in response to manual engagement, the bolt including a first end, a second end to selectively engage a recess of a door frame, a longitudinal axis extending from the first end to the second end, a substantially circular cross section, and a first hole to receive a fastener and allow the bolt to translate relative to the fastener between the retracted position and the extended position, the first hole having a length, as measured along the longitudinal axis, greater than or equal to 1.5 inches and less than or equal to 4 inches.
