  • Publication number: 20070234650
Abstract: A continuous, elongate, strip of openwork ventilation material is provided in roll form and is unrolled and installed in a soffit as a one-piece, continuous vent along a length of the soffit. The opposite longitudinally-extending side edges of the ventilation material are inserted within opposed, spaced-apart channels lining the periphery of the soffit opening or are provided with laterally-extending fastening strips that are fastened to boards lining the soffit opening.

  • Publication number: 20060030435
Abstract: A baseball stride mat when properly positioned within the batter's box relative to homeplate occupies the area of unwanted final front foot stride position subsequent to the batter's swing. Sensors in the mat detect the pressure of the batter stepping onto the mat. The sensors activate signaling means such as an RF transmitter which signals a remote audible alarm which sounds when an improper stride has been taken, thus creating a negative reinforcement for repeating this unwanted behavior. The alarm may be placed any comfortable distance away from the batter so that it is easily heard but protected from damage. The alarm may further include amusing sound effects or a funny saying to add to the amusement and fun of using the device.

  • Patent number: 6298613
Abstract: A roll-form roof ridge vent having a plurality of hollow cusps and a reinforced nail line. The cusps space the upper surface of the vent from the underlying roof to provide a path of ventilation therebetween. The reinforced nail line permits the use of standard pneumatic roofing nail guns to apply nails to the vent and overlying cap shingles. The reinforced vent resists compression and prevents nail heads of nails driven into hollow cusps of the vent from sinking past the upper surface of the vent. The nail line reinforcement material can be a fabric, elastomeric or other type of material.

  • Patent number: 5669192
Abstract: A do-it-yourself kit for retrofitting without special tools protective weatherproof cladding on an existing door or window frame assembly. Three elongate one-piece sections of extruded plastic are prefabricated in transverse cross section to match the profile of the exterior exposed surfaces of two sides and the header of the frame assembly. Lengthwise portions of each section are folded to grip and secure under friction door stop or sash guide surfaces of the frame assembly. Tabs extending from mitered upper ends of the side sections underlap mitered ends of the header section. Templates are included in the kit for cutting the lower ends of the side sections to match the profile of the door threshold or window sill.
