Abstract: Systems and methods stream an application on a computer system. A compressed archive of an installation directory of the application may be created and stored as a storage object. Two mount points may be established at the computer system. One mount point may provide a window to the storage object holding the compressed archive. The other mount point may present an interface to the installation directory. In response to requests by the application to access files from its installation directory, the systems and methods may retrieve the portion of the compressed archive containing that file from the storage object. The systems and methods may extract, e.g., decompress, the requested file from the retrieved page and serve it at the second mount point. The computer system may then provide the requested file to the application.

Abstract: A legacy command is received from a legacy application, where the command is for accessing data. The legacy command is processed using an interface, where processing includes converting the legacy command into a collaboration environment command compatible with a collaboration environment server. Data is requested using the collaboration environment command. A collaboration environment result is received based on the collaboration environment command, where the collaboration environment result includes the requested data. The collaboration environment result is converted into a legacy result using the interface, where the legacy result includes the requested data. The legacy result is provided to the legacy application.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may employ techniques for dynamically dispatching requests to resources operating in a distributed computing environment, such as a computing cloud, according to one or more policies. Embodiments may further dynamically adjust resources in the computing environment using predictive models that use current loads as an input. Embodiments may still further maintain a state for a processing environment independent of the type or configuration of a device used to access the environment on behalf of a user.
