  • Publication number: 20020117482
Abstract: A dual mode plasma arc torch is provided that preferably comprises a start cartridge disposed between an electrode and a tip. In one form, the start cartridge comprises an initiator that is in electrical contact with the electrode and that is resiliently biased into contact with the tip, such that when the plasma arc torch is in a contact start mode, the initiator is movable against the resilient bias to separate from the tip and establish a pilot arc between the initiator and the tip. Further, when the plasma arc torch is in a high frequency start mode, the start cartridge spaces the tip from the electrode such that a pilot arc is established between the electrode and the tip. In other forms, a contact start torch is provided that is operable under high frequency, and conversely, a high frequency start torch is provided that is operable under low voltage.

  • Patent number: 6157006
Abstract: A module adapted to generate a stream of hot, humid air includes a housing, a chamber disposed within the housing and having an air intake and an exhaust vent, and a reservoir adapted to hold a volume of water. A blower is disposed adjacent the air intake and is adapted to propel a stream of air through an interior of the chamber toward the exhaust vent. A steam generator is disposed substantially within the interior of the chamber and has a water inlet in flow communication with the reservoir and a steam outlet in flow communication with the interior of the chamber. A first heater is disposed on an external surface of the steam generator and a second heater is disposed within the interior of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5797503
Abstract: A modular shelving system includes active and fixed storage levels. The storage levels are removably supported from support posts and are disposed at intermediate positions between a top shelf assembly and a base shelf assembly. Each active storage level is secured to a pair of slide assemblies allowing such to be displaced from the shelving system to provide convenient access to items stored thereon. The support posts may be in the form of cylinders having an array of vertical slots for receiving mounting hardware for supporting shelves. Alternatively, support posts having longitudinal slots formed therein in combination with slotted-post inserts may be used to support the shelves. An anti-tip leg assembly can optionally be employed to provide increased stability.

  • Patent number: 5221014
Abstract: A shelving system includes a shelf mat and a support structure for supporting the shelf mat. The shelf mat includes an object carrying portion for supporting objects and a projection connected to and projecting from the object support portion. The support structure includes a pair of vertical corner posts each having two vertical rods spaced by a distance sufficient to permit the insertion of the projection therebetween but to prevent substantial horizontal movement of the projection when the projection is so inserted. The support structure also includes a horizontal support, connected between the two vertical corner posts, and adapted to support at least a portion of said shelf when inserted between the two vertical rods. Methods of manufacturing the shelf mat and support structure using continuous mat-forming steps are also described.
