Patent number: 11582345Abstract: Context data management in a contact center environment is provided. For example, a method comprises receiving a given contact instance for a given user of a contact center, wherein the contact center comprises a plurality of communication channels configured to enable the user to initiate a contact instance and wherein the given contact instance is received over one of the plurality of communication channels. The method further comprises one of generating and updating a context data management pattern in response to receiving the given contact instance, wherein the context data management pattern comprises a data structure of one or more records that maintain information relating to the given contact instance received over the one of the plurality of communication channels and information relating to one or more previous contact instances associated with the user received over one or more of the plurality of communication channels.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2019Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Jonas de Abreu Resenes, Joseph P. Kelly, Jean Felipe Martins da Costa, Gabriel Timm

Publication number: 20150211882Abstract: A method provides point of interest information in a vehicle along a route to a destination. The method includes receiving, from a user, an interval between a current location and the destination; determining an interval location based on the interval; generating point of interest information associated with the interval location; and displaying the point of interest information on a display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2014Publication date: July 30, 2015Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: DAVID B. GUMPERT, JOSEPH P. KELLY

Patent number: 8915260Abstract: A pressure relief device is disclosed for a system containing a pressurized fluid. The device includes a main valve body having inlet and outlet flow ports and a valve plug positioned to seal the flowpath of the pressurized fluid between the inlet port and the outlet port of main valve body. A force transmission component is connected to the valve plug and an activation component is installed between the force transmission component and a mounting surface. The activation component is configured to prevent axial movement of the valve plug until a predetermined pressure is exerted on the valve plug. The force transmission component more efficiently transfers the output force acting on the valve plug to the activation component.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2005Date of Patent: December 23, 2014Assignee: BS&B Safety Systems, LimitedInventors: Greg Klein, Charlie Beair, Joseph P. Kelly, Geof Brazier

Patent number: 7725283Abstract: A method for calibrating a physical test cell includes the steps of: determining a set of inputs to be provided to the physical test cell based in part on a set of historical test data; providing the inputs to the physical test cell and receiving a set of outputs associated therewith, wherein the providing includes implementing a sequential space filling sampling procedure to substantially cover a region defined by the set of historical values; creating a virtual test cell comprising one or more response surfaces based on the set of outputs; and interrogating the virtual test cell to determine a calibration relationship between at least one of the inputs and at least one of the outputs. Smooth Kriging may be used to determine the virtual test cell.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2008Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations, Inc.Inventors: Uday P. Korde, Pochuan B. Hsing, Xu Han, Xinyu Zhou, Rohit S. Paranjpe, Joseph P. Kelly, Julian J. Blair, Donald R. Jones

Patent number: 7286914Abstract: A system for collecting and distributing maritime data includes a vessel configured to transmit a signal representative of a current location of the vessel or an expected location of the vessel; a computer network including one or more databases, each of which includes one or more zone of concern data, wherein the zone of concern data corresponds to a zone of concern; and a service provider configured to receive the signal, retrieve the one or more zone of concern data from the computer network based upon the signal and transmit the one or more zone of concern data to the vessel. The zone of concern data is maritime data that is conducive to the safe, secure and economical operation of the vessel. The zone of concern is a three-dimensionally distance-bounded area surrounding the vessel or a time-bounded area surrounding the vessel.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2003Date of Patent: October 23, 2007Inventors: Peggy Cerchione, legal representative, Joseph P. Kelly, Victor John Yannacone, Jr., Angelo J. Cerchione, deceased

Patent number: 5475757Abstract: A method of secure data transmission commences at a sending or originating terminal by processing a sender challenge on an originating subscriber card with a secret originating subscriber coding key to obtain an originating subscriber response. The response is used at the originating terminal to encrypt the message to be securely transmitted. The thus-encrypted message is transmitted, together with the sender challenge in its original form, to a system server. The server retrieves the originating subscriber coding key from a repository to which it has access, and uses the key to generate a response that is identical to that produced by the originating subscriber. It then employs the so-obtained response to decrypt the originator's encrypted message, determines the intended recipient, and retrieves from the repository the coding key assigned to such recipient.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1994Date of Patent: December 12, 1995Assignee: AT&T Corp.Inventor: Joseph P.
