  • Patent number: 11299926
Abstract: A drive mechanism for imparting movements to a door which pivots about a generally vertical axis between open and closed positions. The drive mechanism includes a frame, a power source mounted on the frame or positively driving an output shaft of the drive mechanism and thus, moving the door from a closed position toward an open position. The drive mechanism also includes an output shaft mounted for rotation about a fixed axis disposed generally parallel to a fixed axis of a power source drive shaft. A drive train including a plurality of intermeshing gear sets is arranged between the power source drive shaft and the output shaft. At least one gear set in the drive train includes a clutch mechanism selectively operable in either an engaged condition or a disengaged condition. When in a disengaged condition, the clutch mechanism operably transfers rotational movements of the power source to the output shaft so as to forcibly open the door.

  • Patent number: 11299922
Abstract: A modular door operating linkage system connectable to an extendable from a door pivotable between closed and open positions about a generally vertical axis disposed such that the door can be either pushed or pulled between positions. The modular linkage system includes a rigid generally L-shaped crank arm component connected to a powered driver which drives the crank arm component in opposite arcuate directions. The modular linkage system also includes a rigid elongated track component defining a generally C-shaped linear channel. The modular linkage system also includes a rigid but adjustable multipiece link component. The linkage system further includes a rigid block component which is configured and designed to act in concert with the other components of the linkage system.

  • Patent number: 11225819
Abstract: A door operating system for moving a door about a vertical pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The door operating system includes a driver including a free-ended output shaft and linkage for operably connecting the output shaft of the driver with door. An adjustable and selectively operable coupling is disposed between the free-end of the output shaft of the driver and the linkage. The adjustable coupling has a pair of coaxially spaced and adjustable interfaces. A first adjustable interface is defined between the free-end of the output shaft and the coupling while a second adjustable interface is defined between the coupling and the linkage whereby allowing for a high resolution, angular adjustment of the position of the door.

  • Publication number: 20200290862
Abstract: A system for dispensing wine at a controlled temperature from a dispensing apparatus. The wine dispensing system includes a tank for holding and storing an intermediate fluid and a multi-tube heat exchanger disposed within the tank. The multi-tube heat exchanger is connected to a source of wine and to the dispensing apparatus. The multi-tube heat exchanger has a Reynolds Number of less than 2500 and a limited volume. An apparatus is provided for constantly monitoring and maintaining the intermediate fluid in the tank at a preselected and generally constant temperature.

  • Patent number: 7451717
Abstract: Systems and processes for closing openings in marine vessel hulls are provided. The systems and processes facilitate repairs and maintenance of marine vessels by closing openings in the marine vessel hulls to permit dry access to compartments in communication with the openings. The processes and systems incorporate a cover constructed from a lightweight material such as fiberglass, a viscoelastic material such as polyethylene or polyurethane, and blends thereof. The cover is guided in place to effectuate closure of the opening by a track device that receives at least two of the peripheral edges of the cover and directs the cover to the proper position to close the hull opening. The cover may be lowered into place by use of a hoisting device such as a davit.

  • Patent number: 7449856
Abstract: A universal controller for an automatic door system including a door carried on a frame for movement along a predetermined path of movement between open and closed positions. The universal controller includes a housing for mounting the controller in a stationary position relative to the door frame and an assembly including a processor carried by the housing for processing data operatively received from a plurality of sensors and relating to the operation of the movable door. The processor is configured to generate operational values which are transmitted to and control a drive motor used to move the door between the open and closed positions. The assembly further includes an arrangement for adjusting the operational values generated by the processor and transmitted to the drive motor. A modular harness connects the controller to the drive motor and to the sensors.

  • Patent number: 7234407
Abstract: Systems and processes for controlling and/or preventing fouling of marine vessel hulls and fixed structures are disclosed. The systems and processes deliver an anti-fouling composition through a dispersing means, such as dispersion tubing, to the surface of a vessel hull or fixed structure below the water line. Also disclosed are methods of controlling the delivery of an anti-fouling composition to the surface of a vessel hull or fixed structure below the waterline, including the steps of generating signals representative of parameters such as current flow direction and speed and water temperature, to identify and control the proper volume release rate of the anti-fouling solution.

  • Patent number: 5806301
Abstract: Pressure sensors are placed at axial locations in the isolator of a scramjet or ramjet. An engine fuel control produces calculated pressure values for the those locations from a stored function. As the engine operates, the pressure signals from the pressure sensors are compared with those pressure values for each sensor location and the stored function is adjusted so that the curve of the calculated pressures closely matches the measured pressures within stored upper and lower pressure limits for each pressure sensor location. From the adjusted function. the shock system is located. Fuel flow is controlled to maintain the shock system at a desired location in the isolator. Faulty pressure sensors are detected from a signal that manifests the difference between calculated and actual pressure at each pressure sensor.
