  • Patent number: 8099789
Abstract: Method and apparatus for enabling applications on security processors of computer systems. In one aspect, a security processor apparatus includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor and operative to store a secure table. The secure table stores different certified endorsement keys and different values, each value associated with one of the endorsement keys. Each stored value is derived from a different application that is certified by the associated endorsement key to be executed on the processor.

  • Patent number: 7243074
Abstract: A method for determining capacity utilization and predicting the future capacity utilization of a goods delivery system from a supplier to a buyer utilizing a system having at least one delivery agent, at least one store, at least one manufacturer, and a plurality of buyers, wherein the at least one delivery agent, at least one store, and the at least one manufacturer are coupled to a communications network. The method comprises the steps of searching for the available capacity in each one of a plurality of markets wherein each market has at least one delivery zone, calculating the capacity utilization by day for each zone, setting a flag which is indicative of over capacity or undercapacity, determining the probability that the next day will be over capacity based on historical data, and determining the trend-line of capacity utilization based on historical data.

  • Publication number: 20060101286
Abstract: A method for theft deterrence of a computer system is disclosed. The computer system includes a trusted platform module (TPM) and storage medium. The method comprises providing a binding key in the TPM; and providing an encrypted symmetric key in the storage medium. The method further includes providing an unbind command to the TPM based upon an authorization to provide a decrypted symmetric key; and providing the decrypted symmetric key to the secure storage device to allow for use of the computer system. Accordingly, by utilizing a secure hard disk drive (HDD) that requires a decrypted key to function in conjunction with a TPM, a computer if stolen is virtually unusable by the thief. In so doing, the risk of theft of the computer is significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 6477603
Abstract: Multiple PCI adapter cards are supported by a single PCI slot through the aspects of the present invention. A computer system aspect includes an &mgr;ATX planar including at least one PCI slot, and a riser card mounted in the at least one PCI slot, the riser card supporting multiple PCI adapter cards and providing signal generation to allow the multiple PCI adapter cards to utilize the at least one PCI slot. The riser card aspect includes a PCI connector for coupling to a PCI slot on the &mgr;ATX planar, a plurality of PCI slots for attaching a plurality of PCI adapter cards, and a logic device for providing separate bus signal pairs to each of the plurality of PCI adapter cards from a single signal pair of the PCI slot on the &mgr;ATX planar.
