  • Patent number: 7789012
Abstract: An improved bonnet assembly for a weir type or radial style valve, comprising a hollow bonnet housing an actuator assembly comprising an actuator connected to a spindle, the hollow bonnet having a plurality of orifices to allow free entry and exit of a liquid such as a cleaning solution within the bonnet and to enable the liquid to thoroughly contact and exit the bonnet assembly without the need of disassembly. The valve or parts of the valve such as the bonnet assembly or its components are made of performance engineered polymeric material to prevent corrosion and/or galling, and also reduce the weight and sometimes the cost of the valve without sacrificing quality and performance.

  • Publication number: 20090078905
Abstract: A valve comprising a bonnet, an actuator for controlling the movement of a diaphragm situated between the bonnet and a valve body having an inlet port, an outlet port, a passageway connecting the inlet port and the outlet port for fluid flow, the valve body having an access receiving port for accommodating a device. The access receiving port is designed to accommodate any type of instrumentation testing a parameter of a process fluid or product on a process system. The proposed valve body can replace an existing valve body thereby avoiding the need to replace the entire valve. The access receiving port can have the same design or different designs. It is located either above or into the passageway of the valve body for a weir type valve or into the passageway of the valve body for a radial style valve.

  • Patent number: 6155535
Abstract: A diaphragm-sealed valve having stops, mechanical means placed between a top and bottom plate to control assembled thickness and/or the amount of compression applied to the diaphragm which is placed between the top and bottom plate when the diaphragm-sealed valve is assembled together. The stops allow adequate compression to assure sealing while preventing overcompression because the stops prevent any further movement of the plates towards each other. Overcompression can result in reduced diaphragm life, diaphragm damage, areas of entrapment for contaminates and increases the force required to seal between the valve inlet and outlet.
