    Abstract: A method for producing a single crystal silicon ingot from a silicon melt includes providing a crucible within an inner chamber of an ingot puller, the crucible including an inner surface and a synthetic liner on the inner surface. The method further includes adding an initial charge of polysilicon to the crucible, melting the initial charge of polysilicon to cause the silicon melt to form in the crucible, and dissolving a melt modifier into the silicon melt to devitrify the synthetic liner and form a crystallized layer on the crucible. The crystallized layer has a thickness less than 700 microns. The method further includes pulling a single crystal silicon ingot from the silicon melt.

    Abstract: A measurement system includes a target object at least partially visible through an opening in a crystal puller. The crystal puller has a silicon melt in a crucible and a reflector defining a central passage through which a crystal is pulled. A detector array captures light through the opening. The detector array is directed to a surface of the silicon melt in the crystal puller and to the target object, and a laser selectively transmits a coherent light beam through the opening to the target object to produce a reflection of the target object on the surface of the silicon melt. An optical modulator pulses the coherent light beams of the laser into discrete coherent light beams having a period, and a lock-in amplifier is connected to the detector array to filter discrete coherent light having the period from captured light.

The method comprises receiving and analyzing, by an analytics engine, environment data pertaining to a wireless communication device and, based on the analyzing and based on a media presentation response, determining, by a pre-cache manager, an amount of fragments to provide to the wireless communication device for pre-caching to enable playback of the content at a certain quality. The method also comprises selecting, by the pre-cache manager, a subset of fragments of the content based on the determined amount of fragments and sending, by the computer system, the subset of fragments to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device pre-caches the subset of fragments and presents the content using the cached subset of fragments and remaining fragments received from a content delivery network. The method further comprises receiving, by the analytics engine, playback data from the content delivery network.

    Abstract: A surgical leg positioner capable of bending the knee in varus or valgus while simultaneously distracting the tibia from the femur, the leg positioner having a thigh clamp module, a swing arm module connected to the thigh clamp module in a manner that offsets a joint axis laterally to the side of the knee of the patient so as not to damage the opposite compartment of the knee when bent in varus or valgus. The swing arm module also distracts the knee simultaneously when the knee is bent in varus or valgus. The swing arm module also permits flexion and extension of the knee at the knee's natural flexion-extension axis. The surgical leg positioner also utilizes a thigh brace that property aligns the leg on the surgical leg positioner.
