Patent number: 11467553Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for initiating actions based on sequences of events. In one aspect, a process includes receiving, from each of multiple devices, data specifying an event detected by the device. The events are compared to configured scenarios that each specify a sequence of trigger events and an action to be initiated in response to detecting the sequence of trigger events. A determination is made that the events match a first scenario of the scenarios. In response to determining that the events detected by the multiple devices match the first scenario, a first action specified by the first scenario is initiated. A determination is made that a combination of one or more of the events detected by the multiple devices and the first action matches a second scenario. In response, a second action specified by the second scenario is initiated.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2019Date of Patent: October 11, 2022Assignee: Accenture Global Solutions LimitedInventors: Matthew Thomas Short, Mary Elizabeth Hamilton, Grace T. Cheng, Michael E. Simanek, Andrew Albert Nat, III, Amir M. Khan, Joseph Pollock, Fadi Mahmoud, Michael Baroody

Patent number: 10241004Abstract: Placement of structural health monitoring sensors within a coupled bearing assembly. An exemplary structural health monitoring system comprises first and second bearings configured for rotatable positioning along a structure, and a spacer positioned between the first and second bearings. The first and second bearings are placed against opposing sides of the spacer, and have a preload force engaging the respective first and second bearings against the opposing sides of the spacer. A plurality of sensors are coupled to the spacer so as to be positioned between the spacer and at least one of the first and second bearings, the sensors further coupled to at least one of the first and second bearings so as to be configured to monitor a structural health of the at least one of the first and second bearings.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2017Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: ACELLENT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Patrick Joseph Pollock, Howard Hungchi Chung, Roger Huang, Fu-Kuo Chang, Irene Li, Jeffrey Dean Bergman

Patent number: 9791418Abstract: A structural health monitoring system capable of maintaining electrical contact with sensors affixed to a rotating structure. One such structural health monitoring system comprises a rotatable structure, a plurality of sensors each affixed to the rotatable structure, and an interface. The interface has an inner housing and an outer housing, and maintains a plurality of individual electrical connections, each of the individual electrical connections being an electrical connection between one of the sensors and an electrical contact maintained on the outer housing, the electrical connections configured to be maintained during rotation of the structure. The inner housing is affixed to the structure and the outer housing is rotationally coupled to the inner housing, so that the inner housing is free to rotate with respect to the outer housing during rotation of the structure and the sensors, while maintaining the electrical connections.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2013Date of Patent: October 17, 2017Assignee: Acellent Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Patrick Joseph Pollock, Howard Hungchi Chung, Roger Huang, Fu-Kuo Chang, Irene Li, Jeffrey Dean Bergman

Patent number: 6004855Abstract: A process for producing a small shallow-depth high-performance bipolar structure having low parasitic capacitance is disclosed wherein an active base region of a P-type material is first defined in a substrate, a portion of which is of N-type material in a device formation area surrounded by an isolating oxide regions, such as trenches or the like. An N-doped polysilicon layer is then defined over the active base region and over field oxide regions located atop the isolating trenches. This N-poly region, when treated, will provide an interdigitated collector with self aligning emitter region aligned over the active base region. After appropriate spaced isolation layers are placed, a P-poly layer is laid down and heat treated to cause the P-type doping material to diffuse into the substrate contact to the active base region. A thin buried collector layer, approximately 1.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1997Date of Patent: December 21, 1999Assignee: Synergy Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Larry Joseph Pollock, George William Brown
