  • Publication number: 20120085063
Abstract: A flashing tape includes a moisture-impervious nonporous first layer having a drainage plane surface for providing drainage of moisture, the drainage plane surface being textured with embossed or otherwise raised spaced apart projections, the spaces between the projections, in conjunction with an overlay of construction material, defining a nondirectional flow path to permit the drainage of moisture and flow of air along said surface; a moisture-impervious second layer of closed cell polymeric foam which is bonded on a first side to the moisture-impervious first layer; and, a layer of pressure sensitive acrylic based adhesive applied to a second side of the moisture-impervious layer.

  • Publication number: 20080307715
Abstract: A flashing material and method provides a moisture drainage passage to prevent water damage to buildings. The flashing material includes: (a) a planar portion for providing a drainage plane for the passage of moisture along a plane defined by said planar portion, wherein said planar portion includes a porous sheet capable of permitting the passage of water therethrough along the drain plain, and/or a water impervious sheet having a surface defining said drainage plane; (b) a water-impervious layer which is bonded on a first side to the planar portion; and, preferably (c) a layer of adhesive applied to a second side of the water-impervious layer. The flashing material is particularly useful for installing a portal such as a window or door in an opening in a wall, or for sealing joints in roofs, for installing skylights and similar such uses.

  • Patent number: 7156274
Abstract: An apparatus for separating a stock of semi-compliant material into discrete portions or tags includes a housing having a drive mechanism disposed therein for bending a portion of the semi-compliant material in a first direction thus forming a line of weakening along the material. The drive mechanism subsequently bends the portion of the material in a second direction, which causes the tag to separate from the remaining material along the line of weakening.

  • Publication number: 20060019051
Abstract: A printed laminated overlay to a substrate includes a first sheet of polymeric material having an adhesive coating and a removable release liner on one side, and another side adhesively bonded to a printed surface of a second sheet of polymeric material, wherein the first sheet of polymeric material is opaque or translucent and has at least one aperture therein. This printed laminated overlay can be applied to a surface of an appliance, electronic device, machinery or vehicle as well as signs, nameplates and the like.

  • Patent number: 6907837
Abstract: A mooring assembly including two detachably coupled elements configured and dimensioned so that one of the elements passes through the other element as the boat is being piloted in a travel direction by the unassisted boater. The elements engage one another upon reversing the direction of advancement of the boat.

  • Patent number: 6702170
Abstract: An apparatus for separating a stock of semi-compliant material into discrete portions or tags. The apparatus includes a housing having a drive mechanism disposed therein for bending a portion of the semi-compliant material in a first direction, thus forming a line of weakening along the material. The drive mechanism subsequently bends the portion of the material in a second direction causing the tag to separate from the remaining material along the line of weakening. The present disclosure also includes a method of separating a semi-compliant material into discrete portions or tags. The method includes the steps of feeding the material into a drive mechanism; bending a portion of the material in a first direction, thus forming a line of weakening along the material; and bending a portion of the material in a second direction, thus separating the portion from the remaining material along the line of weakening.
