Abstract: A retrieval tool for retrieving a shark tooth from the surface of sand of a beach utilizes an elongated handle and a receptacle arranged adjacent one end of the handle with which a shark tooth can be scooped from the sand with the tool. The tool also includes a spacer member which joins the receptacle and handle so that the receptacle is held to one side of and is spaced from the one end of the handle to enhance the viewability of the receptacle as the receptacle is moved in a scooping motion through the sand to collect the shark tooth with the tool.
