Patent number: 11522720Abstract: Dynamic directory service object creation and certificate management can be performed. In response to discovering a device connected to a network, a corresponding directory service object can be automatically created, and a digital certificate can be automatically acquired and deployed on the device to facilitate authentication. Further, actions can be logged, and notifications generated based on logged actions. Time involved in deploying and configuring directory services is reduced, efficiency is improved, and there is less of a chance for errors associated with manual configuration.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2020Date of Patent: December 6, 2022Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Lawrence T. Belton, Lynn A. Smith, Nathan T. Suri, Joseph R. Kaluzny, Douglas Rambo, Marci J. Alley, Timothy H. Morris, Marcos Bilbao, Ryan Benskin, Scott Hinzman

Patent number: 11038918Abstract: The innovation disclosed and claimed herein, in one aspect thereof, comprises a management system and method of handling unpatched users. When a user requests to access their user account or a network, the user is checked for type of browser the user is being used and which version of the browser is being used. If the user is using an unsecured or unpatched browser, the system offers to update the browser software or provide a virtual machine through the browser so that malware cannot transfer from the user computer to the network. The virtual machine can provide a virtual keyboard to protect the user's login credentials from a key logger. The user logs into the user account within the virtual machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: WELLS FARGO BANK, N.A.Inventors: Aimee J. Hewitt, Joseph R. Kaluzny, Douglas C. Rambo, Steven M. Trudeau, Bryan Hall, Andrew J. Garner, IV

Patent number: 10673639Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate dynamic directory service object creation and certificate management are discussed. One such method can include discovering a device deployed on a network, creating and deploying a corresponding directory services object, automatically creating and deploying a certificate to the device and updating attributes associated with the device. The disclosed system and method reduce the time involved in deploying and configuring directory services and public key infrastructure (PKI), increase efficiency, improve network availability and lessen the chances for errors associated with manual configuration.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2018Date of Patent: June 2, 2020Assignee: WELLS FARGO BANK, N.A.Inventors: Lawrence T. Patent number: 10616247Abstract: One or more processors receive, from one or more social-network sources, social-network data that identifies at least one potentially malicious source accessing a plurality of social-network profiles for a group of users. The one or more processors receive, from one or more e-mail servers, e-mail data associated with a plurality of e-mail messages received by the group of users. The one or more processors determine, based on the social-network data and the e-mail data, that an e-mail message of the plurality of e-mail messages is from the at least one potentially malicious source. The one or more processors output information identifying the e-mail message as being from the potentially malicious source.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2018Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Aimee J.
