  • Publication number: 20160227384
Abstract: Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product that enable intelligent formation and management of dynamic talk groups. Embodiments include a discretionary sharing mechanism based on invitation and acceptance that allows for dynamic publication or sharing of information in real time among agencies responding to an incident, where the agencies may establish secure communications. Additional embodiments include establishing and associating geographic boundaries of incident sites with talk groups, monitoring conditions that trigger warning messages sent to talk group members, and subscriptions to information channels that allow multimedia information to flow into talk groups.

  • Publication number: 20150123876
Abstract: A digital glass enhanced media system (DGEMS) is provided that is capable of performing routing and processing of audio and video inputs received from a plurality of digital glass devices, as well as a plurality of agencies, in order to provide enhanced and coordinated information distribution among the digital glass devices. Such routing may include distributing information received from the devices to relevant agencies providing assistance to the wearers of those devices, as well as to other team member devices. Control is also provided, such that a user of such a digital glass device car select how or what information is received. In this manner, coordinated information distribution can be provided so as to allow users to optimize the coordination of their teamwork.

  • Publication number: 20150063202
Abstract: Embodiments include a dynamic wireless aerial mesh network having aerial nodes that provides real-time persistent wide area communications service to provide communications in response to an incident. Typically, the area services is a wide area that is physically inaccessible via ground transportation. In addition, embodiments include the formation of a decentralized mesh supernetwork comprising two or more dynamic wireless aerial mesh networks where each dynamic wireless aerial mesh network is owned by a different agency (e.g., a secure community). A member of a first dynamic wireless aerial mesh network may send a request to a member of a second dynamic wireless aerial mesh network for the first dynamic wireless aerial mesh network to join the second dynamic wireless aerial mesh network to form a mesh supernetwork, and receive an acceptance from the member of the second dynamic wireless aerial mesh network.

  • Patent number: 8929851
Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods for establishing incident communications networks. In an embodiment, the system includes an incident controller, a communications resource database that stores communications resources information and a marshalling rules module that stores a set of marshalling rules. A marshalling rule identifies how to select the communications resources to be marshaled into the incident communications network based on an incident trigger. Upon receipt of an incident trigger, the incident controller is configured to establish the incident communications network by obtaining a marshalling rule based on the incident trigger. The incident controller marshals communications resources based on the marshalling rule and the communications resources determined to be available. Information sources can either provide an incident trigger (e.g., a hurricane warning) or provide data to be analyzed to determine an incident trigger.

  • Publication number: 20110015801
Abstract: A system and method for operating a distributed power generation system comprising one or more Local Production Units (LPPUs) is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving and storing data relating to the operating performance of a plurality of LPPUs, receiving and storing data relating to the local power consumption for the plurality of LPPUs, determining the available aggregate quantity of excess power generation capacity for the plurality of LPPUs based upon the operating performance data and the power consumption data, communicating to at least one power purchasing entity an offer to sell at least part of the available aggregate quantity of excess power generation capacity, receiving from at least one power purchasing entity an order to purchase, and communicating with the plurality of LPPUs to provide each LPPU with instructions regarding the quantity of power to be produced. The system includes means for performing each of these steps.

  • Publication number: 20110016055
Abstract: A system and method for energy efficient power production of local power production units is provided. The system includes a control server and a series of local power production interfaces that are coupled to local power production units. The control server is configured to control the power production of a plurality of local power production units based on emissions data of each of the local power production units. The control server tracks environmental, gas and particulate emissions from local power production units. The control server instructs local power production units to produce power based on emission characteristics. The control server further tracks the establishment of emission credits, and offers such credits for sale or exchange. In embodiments, local power production units include one or more of fuel cells, microturbines, solar electrical generating devices and wind based electrical generating devices.

  • Patent number: 7421450
Abstract: An application development environment is provided. Database contents or structure can be changed and the changes are seamlessly propagated to the applications or views that are impacted by the change. Similarly, from the application page, new database content can be added to the database. The taxonomy of the database is relational through the use context and data relationships are contextually presented by their relative relationships within a taxonomy structure. Controls are used to define the behavior of the application. The activity of each control is defined via declarative events. The application framework is generated from the taxonomy, which flexibly couples the application design to the required data.
