  • Patent number: 11954902
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for generating a final classification output for an image of eye tissue. The image is provided as input to each of one or more segmentation neural networks to obtain one or more segmentation maps of the eye tissue in the image. A respective classification input is generated from each of the segmentation maps. For each of the segmentation maps, the classification input for the segmentation map is provided as input to each of one or more classification neural networks to obtain, for each segmentation map, a respective classification output from each classification neural network. A final classification output for the image is generated from the respective classification outputs for each of the segmentation maps.

  • Publication number: 20130247576
Abstract: A fuel injector for a gas turbine engine is disclosed which includes a nozzle body for issuing fuel and air into a combustor, and an on-axis optical probe located within the nozzle body for observing combustor flame radiation, wherein the optical probe includes a plurality of optical fiber bundles extending to a distal end of the probe, and a shaped lens is supported at the distal end of the probe to provide a multi-directional field of view of combustion characteristics and properties in an operating gas turbine engine combustor.

  • Publication number: 20110239621
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel injector for a gas turbine engine combustor that includes a fuel nozzle for injecting fuel into the gas turbine engine combustor and a fiber optic microphone operatively associated with the fuel nozzle for measuring acoustic pressure differentials within a combustion chamber of the gas turbine engine combustor. The fiber optic microphone includes a fiber bundle having at least one light transmitting fiber and one light receiving fiber; and a dynamic pressure-sensing diaphragm operatively spaced apart from a sensing end of the fiber bundle. The diaphragm has a reflective surface and is formed from a material capable of withstanding temperatures associated with flame exposure. The diaphragm is adapted and configured for deflecting in response to acoustic pressure changes within the combustion chamber.
