  • Publication number: 20240148429
Abstract: A method for determining motional branch current in an ultrasonic transducer of an ultrasonic surgical device over multiple frequencies of a transducer drive signal. The method may comprise, at each of a plurality of frequencies of the transducer drive signal, oversampling a current and voltage of the transducer drive signal, receiving, by a processor, the current and voltage samples, and determining, by the processor, the motional branch current based on the current and voltage samples, a static capacitance of the ultrasonic transducer and the frequency of the transducer drive signal.

  • Publication number: 20240146781
Abstract: A method for collaboration using digital notes. A facilitator starts a session during a video conferencing with participants and can share a screen with the participants. The screen displays a code, a session ID, and a link. Participants join the session by scanning the code with a camera, entering the session ID, or accessing the link. During the session, the participants can create digital notes or scan physical notes to have them converted to digital notes. The facilitator then receives the digital notes sent from the participants during the session and moves the digital notes to a group on the facilitator's screen. Since the facilitator's screen is shared with the participants, any participant can view the digital notes in the group from all of the participants for collaboration as controlled by the facilitator.

  • Patent number: 11970409
Abstract: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are destroyed by oxidation in supercritical conditions. PFAS in water can be concentrated and prepared for destruction in a pretreatment phase. Following annihilation of the PFAS in supercritical conditions to levels below 5 parts per trillion (ppt), the water effluent can be used to recover heat, returned to sub-critical conditions, and then released back into the environment.

  • Patent number: 11963691
Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.

  • Publication number: 20240110369
Abstract: A method for making a sink with a supporting structure including providing a sink including at least one basin and a rim extending outwardly from at least one side of the at least one basin, and coupling a support structure in the form of at least one channel to an underside of the at least one side of the rim using a tool. The tool includes a channel support configured to receive one channel of the at least one channels.

  • Publication number: 20240080647
Abstract: A system for interoperating and communicating data from a device having a communications gateway and at least one tactical device connected to an electrified rail providing electrical power. The system includes at least one processor, and at least one non-transitory computer-readable data storage device storing data instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to receive an event from the device, determine whether the event triggers a workflow, and execute an action on the device in response to the workflow being triggered.

  • Patent number: 5292254
Abstract: A method for a minefield simulation includes a number of troops and vehicles each including a player detection device or vehicle detection device respectively. The player detection devices and vehicle detection devices determine and transmit their respective locations to a central computer. The central computer or player determines whether the player is within an activation radius of a mine in the minefield. The central computer or player has established a bit map of the minefield with indications of the exact placement of the mines within the minefield. If a player (troop or vehicle) is within the activation radius of a mine, the central computer or player records the identity of the expended mine in the minefield bit map by changing its indication from active to inactive. Either central computer or the player detection device may determine the effects of the expended mine upon the troop or vehicle.
