  • Patent number: 6364178
Abstract: A fluid control and dispenser apparatus includes a dispenser member having an inlet, a fluid ingress opening and a fluid egress opening. A flexible valve member is located in the dispenser member and movable between a first position in which the valve member closes the fluid ingress opening and a second position in which the flexible valve member opens the fluid ingress opening. The flexible valve member is positioned between the fluid ingress opening and the fluid egress opening for directing venting fluid passing through the fluid ingress opening during dispensing away from the egress opening.

Date of Patent: April 2, 2002
    Inventor: Joseph R. Paczonay
  • Patent number: 6273128
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid includes a gravity sensitive valve for receiving fluid from a fluid flow passageway and a pressure activated valve located downstream from the gravity sensitive valve. The gravity sensitive valve interrupts flow of fluid when the apparatus is not in use to prevent inadvertent opening of the pressure activated valve.

  • Patent number: 5927565
Abstract: Valve assembly having a base with an outlet opening for egress of liquid from a container and a vent hole for ingress of air into the container, a valve member movable between open and closed positions relative to the base for controlling passage of liquid through the outlet opening and covering the vent hole when the valve member is in the closed position, and a resiliently deformable sealing member which allows air to pass through the air hole when pressure within the container is less than pressure outside the container.

  • Patent number: 5791510
Abstract: Apparatus for delivering liquid to the mouth of an individual includes a hollow body portion having an inlet end and an outlet having at least one dispensing slit, and structure connected to the hollow body portion exerting forces on the hollow body portion and closure continuously urging the at least one dispensing slit to closed condition.

  • Patent number: 5725018
Abstract: My invention is a gravity check valve 20 that will have a relatively low back flow of liquid when the sealing seat 2 is positioned above the porous seat 8 and the direction of back flow of liquid is opposite to the direction of the force of gravity 18.

  • Patent number: 5715863
Abstract: A connector for joining two tubes together. A female connector with a cavity made of resilient material such that when the male and female connectors are joined the leakage from the tube ends is minimal. In addition, the cavity made of resilient material resilient will only loosely hold onto the outside surface of the male connector such that the two connectors will disconnect quickly and automatically when a relatively low tensional or shearing force is applied across the joined connector. Valve means are also provided to prevent leakage out of both connectors when the connectors are disconnected.

  • Patent number: 5601207
Abstract: A bite valve for delivering liquid to the mouth of an individual includes a hollow body portion and a deformable closure connected to the body portion. A plurality of spaced slits are formed in the deformable closure. A portion of the deformable closure between the slits changes shape when the bite valve is subjected to opposed compressive forces. This causes the portion of the deformable closure to change shape and the slits to open and form a plurality of openings allowing liquid flow through the deformable closure.

  • Patent number: 5301860
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing liquid into the mouth of a bicyclist, the apparatus including a container with a flexible wall, an adjustable holder for holding the container on a bicycle, a liquid delivery tube extending from the container, and at least one compressor arm actuatable by the bicyclist for compressing the container wall and forcing liquid into the liquid delivery tube. Valves connected to the liquid delivery tube prevent back flow of liquid in the direction of the container.
