  • Patent number: 10144512
Abstract: A system for controlling passenger services includes a sensor that generates a signal representative of the at least one of the position of the seat, the presence of passenger in the seat, the position of the at least one hand of the passenger, the configuration of the at least one hand of the passenger and the direction of movement of the at least one hand of the passenger. A first light source, an air supply, and a window shade are disposed at a predetermined locations with respect to the seat. A controller, connected to the sensor, generates a control signal that controls at least one parameter associated with at least one of light generated by the first light source, air supplied by the air supply and a degree of openness of the window shade.

  • Patent number: 10112716
Abstract: A lighting control system includes a sensor to generate a signal representative of at least one of a position of a seat, a presence of passenger in the seat, the position of at least one hand of the passenger, a configuration of the at least one hand of the passenger, and a direction of movement of the at least one hand of the passenger. A first light source, which generates a first light column, is located forward of the seat. A second light source, which generates a second light column, is located rearward of the seat. A controller generates a control signal that controls at least one parameter associated with an intensity, a color, a projected pattern, projected pattern location, or a width formed by a combination of the first and second light columns.

  • Patent number: 10093419
Abstract: A passenger service system includes a seat, a first sensor associated with the seat that senses a position of the seat and generates a first signal, a second sensor associated with the seat that senses the presence of a passenger in the seat and generates a second signal, a first light source disposed at a predetermined location with respect to the seat, where the first light source generates light, a third sensor associated with the first light source that senses at least a position of at least one hand of the passenger and generate a third signal, and a controller that receives the first signal, a first light signal that controls at least one parameter associated with the light including at least one of an intensity, a color, a projected pattern, projected pattern location, or a width.

  • Patent number: 9873509
Abstract: A signage display system for an aircraft includes a controller for receiving input and generating a command, a central controller connected to the controller, the central controller receiving the command and generating a display signal responsive to the command, at least one peripheral device connected to the central controller, the peripheral device receiving the display signal prompting the device to display safety information, an input associated with the peripheral device for receiving an acknowledgement of the safety information and generating an acknowledgement signal responsive to the acknowledgement, such that display of the safety information is discontinued in response to receipt of the acknowledgement. A method and set of instructions also are provided.
