  • Patent number: 11911705
Abstract: A method and system encourage continued play of scratch-off lottery tickets remaining in a game after award of the seeded top prizes in the game. A total set of scratch-off lottery tickets for the game are subject to a single multi-tier prize structure that includes a top tier prize and a plurality of lower tier prize levels. Subsets of the total set of tickets each have a predetermined winning outcome at one of the lower tier prize levels. A first one of the subsets is divided into qualifying tickets and non-qualifying tickets, the qualifying tickets eligible for play in an additional game having a game prize at least equal to the top tier prize. The qualifying and/or non-qualifying tickets are provided with a printed mark that distinguishes the qualifying tickets from the non-qualifying tickets within the first subset. • Publication number: 20230093350
Abstract: An apparatus is described for measuring hemodynamic or metabolic function of an organ or tissue region of a subject comprising a super-continuum laser operating in the near or short-wave infrared wavelength range and comprising a multi-stage amplifier. A source fiber delivers the super-continuum emission to the organ or tissue region, and a collection fiber receives reflected emission from the region. A detector followed by a processor is used to determine a metabolic state and an oxygenation state of the organ or tissue region. A signal-to-noise ratio of the signal is improved using a dual-arm differential measurement technique.

  • Patent number: 11529091
Abstract: Techniques for measuring metabolic tissue state and oxygenation in human or animal models, through optical techniques capable of simultaneous measurement at single region of interest. Simultaneously measuring CCO, oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO), and deoxygenated (HbR) hemoglobin is performed and metabolic activity of the tissue is determined. The methods employ a super-continuum light source and a probe to deliver light to the individual, and reflected light from the individual is analyzed to determine the metabolic function of the individual.
