  • Patent number: 6775205
Abstract: A radiotelephone set in which a case housing a miniature microwave transceiver is strapped to the wrist of a user's hand, a microphone mounted on the strap being connected to the transceiver input whereby when the hand is raised to bring the microphone adjacent the user's mouth, the user can then transmit voice messages. An earphone placed within a finger thimble is connected by a cable normally retracted within the case to the transceiver output to reproduce messages received by the transceiver. To operate the radiotelephone set, the thimble carrying the earphone is pulled away from the case to extend the cable, the thimble then being mounted on the index finger of the hand. The hand is then raised so that the thimble can be inserted by the index finger into an ear of the user who can now hear incoming voice messages. When so raised, the hand acts to place the microphone on the strap adjacent the mouth of the user who can now send out voice messages.

  • Patent number: 6237539
Abstract: A multiple dog leash which makes it possible for a single individual to concurrently control at least two dogs that differ in size and therefore require leashes of different length. The multiple leash includes an elongated strap that passes through a coupling ring and is folded thereover to define two leash sections whose relative lengths depends on the site of the fold; a leash handle being linked to the coupling ring. Each leash section terminates in a connector that can be coupled to the collar or harness of a dog. Slidable along the two leash sections is a sleeve that acts to maintain these sections in parallel relation. Also slidable on the two sections between the sleeve and the connectors is a lockable clamp which after the strap is adjusted to create two leash sections having relative lengths appropriate to the dogs to which these sections are coupled, is then locked to maintain this relationship.

  • Patent number: 5934224
Abstract: A leash-controllable, collarless dog harness adapted to inhibit a dog from straining against the leash. The harness is formed from a cable having a pair of branches which are joined together at their opposing ends to form a continuous loop, a coupling ring encircling one end. The other end of the branches extends through a buckle to create an eyelet through which the ring passes. Slidable along the branches to clamp them together is a lockable clamp, and also slidable thereon to space the branches apart is a spacer element. When the harness is installed, the clamp is then positioned to overlie the shoulder of the dog and the buckle is positioned to overlie the body of the dog, the spacer element then being placed adjacent the dog's chest, whereby the branches of the cable run from the ring through the eyelet to the clamp at the shoulder of the dog, and from there down opposite sides of the dog to pass through the left and right foreleg crotches and then up the body of the dog to terminate at the eyelet.

  • Patent number: 5660146
Abstract: Protective sleeves for a leash-controllable dog harness provided with a pair of restraint cables that pass through the respective foreleg crotches of the dog and are coupled to the leash, whereby when the leash is strained, the cables then ride up the crotches to engage the sensitive foreleg pits and impose pressure thereon inducing the dog to release the strain in order to avoid the resultant discomfort. The sleeves which are mounted on the cables and conform thereto serve to prevent the cables from chafing or irritating the dog. Each sleeve is formed by a smooth inner liner through which the cable is slidable, and a soft, outer coat anchored on the liner, both the inner liner and the coat being fabricated of synthetic plastic materials which are inhospitable to fleas and other vermin so that vermin troublesome to dogs cannot breed or nest on the sleeve.
