  • Publication number: 20240156807
Abstract: Methods for treating a cancer patient with a neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) greater than 3 are disclosed, comprising administering a nonsteroidal glucocorticoid receptor antagonist (GRA) to such a cancer patient, effective to reduce the patient's NLR. The methods include administering a nonsteroidal GRA and a cancer treatment to such a cancer patient, effective to reduce the patient's NLR and enhance the treatment of the cancer patient. The GRA may be orally administered. The nonsteroidal GRA may be a nonsteroidal compound comprising a heteroaryl ketone fused azadecalin structure (e.g., relacorilant) or an octahydro fused azadecalin structure (e.g., exicorilant). The cancer treatment may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, administration of an anti-angiogenic agent, administration of a growth factor inhibitor, and surgery.

  • Publication number: 20240076654
Abstract: Methods for the automated template-free synthesis of user-defined sequence controlled biopolymers using microfluidic devices are described. The methods facilitate simultaneous synthesis of up to thousands of uniquely addressed biopolymers from the controlled movement and combination of regents as fluid droplets using microfluidic and EWOD-based systems. In some forms, biopolymers including nucleic acids, peptides, carbohydrates, and lipids are synthesized from step-wise assembly of building blocks based on a user-defined sequence of droplet movements. In some forms, the methods synthesize uniquely addressed nucleic acids of up to 1,000 nucleotides in length. Methods for adding, removing and changing barcodes on biopolymers are also provided. Biopolymers synthesized according to the methods, and libraries and databases thereof are also described. Modified biopolymers, including chemically modified nucleotides and biopolymers conjugated to other molecules are described.

  • Patent number: 11663149
Abstract: Embodiments include herein are directed towards a dynamic random access memory system. Embodiments may include a command queue that is configured to hold all commands that are currently selectable for bank operation and execution. Embodiments may further include bank logic operatively connected with the command queue. The bank logic may include a bank management module and a plurality of bank slices, wherein each of the plurality of bank slices is an independent, re-assignable bank tracking module.

  • Publication number: 20130059276
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to language learning systems and methods. A method may include receiving an audio input including one or more phonemes. The method may also include generating an output including feedback information of a pronunciation of each phoneme of the one or more phonemes. Further, the method may include providing at least one graphical output associated with a proper pronunciation of a selected phoneme of the one or more phonemes.

  • Patent number: 7460135
Abstract: In a method and system for controlling rotation of a color image stored as sub-sampled image data in a memory, a controller includes a finite state machine (FSM) operable to fetch the sub-sampled image data and provide the sub-sampled data as a plurality of pixels to form the color image having a predefined angle of rotation. The FSM provides a predefined address of sub-sampled image data describing the color image stored in the memory to an addressing unit. The addressing unit is operable to read twice the sub-sampled image data located at the predefined address. A memory device is operable to push each read instance of the sub-sampled image data. A pipeline controlled by the FSM is operable to pull and selectively read the sub-sampled image data from the memory device for generating the plurality of pixels.
