  • Patent number: 9672001
Abstract: An insect decoder and communicator, comprising a user input interface, a microcontroller, a power source, a non-user input, an output interface, and a communication interface to communicate with external devices, where the user input interface, microcontroller, power source, non-user input, output interface, and communication interface are electronically connected, a preset pattern of insect communication from an external device loaded into the microcontroller through the communication interface and stored into memory, and the non-user input connected to the microcontroller and causing the microcontroller to modify the frequency of the preset patterns of insect communication produced by the output interface to accurately emulate patterns of insect communications affected by ambient temperature.

  • Publication number: 20090099543
Abstract: As an Orthopedist I have found that if I have to hold both the vial and the syringe while I draw up medications it poses numerous problems. The first problem is that when I was aiming the needle towards the small vial in my hand, if my aim were to be off there was a likelihood that I would end up sticking my hand. Another problem was that having only one free hand to draw up the syringe (while the other hand was holding the vial) required me to contort my fingers in such a way that led to fatigue. Another problem that came up was that in certain situations administering injections had to be done under aseptic conditions which became more difficult when I had to handle the vial at the same time. The Hands-free medicine vial holder solves all these problems.

  • Publication number: 20080168539
Abstract: A request for access to a target computer application for which a particular set of user credentials are required is received through a different computer application for which a different set of user credentials are required. Authentication credentials associated with a first session token issued in connection with authenticated user access to the different computer application are mapped to access credentials for the target computer application. Access to functionality provided by the target computer application may be granted based on a second session token issued in response to a correlation between the authentication credentials associated with the different computer application and the access credentials for the target computer application.

  • Publication number: 20070283831
Abstract: The method and apparatus for registration of a lithographic plate includes a means for ensuring that the plate is in contact with registration pins on imaging and bending devices and a means for finely adjusting an initial position of the plate with respect to registration pins on the bender to bring the plate in registration with the specified plate lock-up position on the press cylinder. Three separate electrical circuits ensure that the plate is in contact with the registration pins if each separate circuit is able to conduct current between the respective pins and the plate. The fine adjustment is accomplished by rotation of eccentric registration pins until the plate is within tolerance.

  • Publication number: 20060105901
Abstract: A slag conditioner containing MgO, carbon or a filler and a binder is mixed and formed under pressure to produce aggregates which can have the form of a briquette. The slag conditioner is used to improve the operating performance and refractory life in steel melting furnaces. A slag conditioner comprising by weight a mixture and 2% to 25% binder for bonded agglomerates or larger particles of said mixture, the mixture comprising: 20% to 90% burned aggregates comprised of particles less than 8 mm of which at least 30% is 0.2 mm or greater and containing between 35% and 94% MgO; up to 50% slag-making carbonaceous or other additive; and up to 50% light burned magnesite.
