  • Patent number: 12167236
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for remote management of hardware security modules (HSMs) includes receiving a command request from a mobile device. The command request includes an encrypted key part and an encrypted signing key. The HSM decrypts the command request using a key associated with a security zone of the mobile device. The HSM decrypts the encrypted key part and the encrypted signing key. Decrypting the encrypted key part and the encrypted signing key includes using the key associated with the security zone of the mobile device and a key associated with a remote administrator associated with the mobile device. A command is generated for a domain with a target HSM. The command is generated using the decrypted key part and the decrypted signing key. The command is transmitted to the domain for execution by the target HSM. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12095917
Abstract: An approach is provided for distributing a root key to a hardware security module (HSM) of an HSM cluster. A signed first command is transmitted to a source HSM to create a master key. A fingerprint of the master key is received in a response signed by the source HSM using a module signing key hardcoded into the source HSM at manufacturing time. A second command is transmitted to a first HSM to generate an importer key pair. A request is transmitted to the source HSM to create and export a wrapped master key. The master key wrapped with a transport key is received. The wrapped master key is transmitted to the first HSM. The master key is activated in the first HSM.

  • Publication number: 20240278027
Abstract: A wearable medical monitoring (WMM) system may be worn for a long time. Some embodiments of WMM systems are wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) systems. In such systems, ECG electrodes sense an ECG signal of the patient, and store it over the long-term. The stored ECG signal can be analyzed for helping long-term heart rate monitoring of the patient. The heart rate monitoring can be assisted a) by special filtering techniques that remove short-term variations inherent in patients' short-term heart rate determinations, and b) by indication techniques that indicate when conditions hampered sensing of the ECG signal too much for a reliable heart rate determination.

  • Patent number: 11974189
Abstract: A computer-implemented method enables registered mobile device users associated with a common matter to identify each other in a court-complex setting, and to communicate with each other directly using mobile devices once the registered mobile device users enter a code associated to the common matter. A server-side application receives and processes user and/or firm names to effect registration. Using the mobile device application, a first registered mobile device user enters a code associated with the common matter, received by the server-side application that receives and processes the code, effecting check in by the first registered mobile device user. Using the mobile application, a second registered user enters the code associated with the common matter, enabling the first and second registered mobile device user associated with the common matter to communicate over a wireless network using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Wi-Fi and/or cellular telephony.

  • Publication number: 20240050759
Abstract: In embodiments, an external defibrillator has an electrical circuit with a special output stage for the high-voltage defibrillation pulse. The output stage includes switches that can turn on for delivering the pulse, and off during all other times. The output stage also includes a diverting resistance to divert electrical current that could leak into the patient while a capacitor is being charged. An optional detector may notify if a component is malfunctioning. An advantage can be that an external defibrillator may be created according to embodiments that uses, in its output stage, semiconductor switches instead of relays. As semiconductor switches weigh less and occupy less volume than relays, an external defibrillator according to embodiments may have less weight and volume. Especially in wearable defibrillator applications, less weight means less effort to carry and less volume means easier concealment under clothing.

  • Patent number: 11900065
Abstract: A system is capable of automatically adjusting or reconstructing a baseline expression to generate a parallelized expression. Evaluation of the parallelized expression provide a substantially similar output as the evaluation of the baseline query in more efficient manner. In some implementations, data indicating an expression to be evaluated on a primary thread of the one or more processors is obtained. Elements of the expression are identified. The elements are grouped into a parse tree representation. Elements of the expression are classified as belonging to either a first category that includes elements that are eligible for parallel processing or a second category that includes elements that are not eligible for parallel processing. A particular element that is classified as belonging to the first category is identified and evaluated on a non-primary thread of the one or more processors. The non-primary thread is evaluated in parallel with the primary thread.

  • Patent number: 11731815
Abstract: A packaging assembly for holding contents is provided. The packaging assembly includes a self-supporting liner having a wall that encloses sides and bottom of an interior of the liner and defines an open top end of the liner, and a rim that projects outwardly from the wall proximal to the open top end. The packaging assembly also includes a lidding assembly including a cover region and a destructible seal region that seals the cover region to the liner extending over and closing the liner open top. The destructible cover region is weaker than the liner and the cover region so that detachment of the cover region from the liner causes the destructible seal region to fail. The lidding assembly includes a first lidding material having a center portion and an outer portion that surrounds the center portion.

  • Patent number: 11703882
Abstract: A bio-hybrid odor-localizing autonomous air vehicle includes an airborne robotic platform having a navigation platform, a wireless transmitter communicatively coupled to a management console, and a biological sensor mounted on the airborne robotic platform that reacts to at least one olfactory odor. A controller is communicatively coupled to the airborne robotic platform, the navigation platform, and the biological sensor. The controller monitors the biological sensor. In response to the biological sensor detecting the at least one olfactory odor, the controller directs the airborne platform to three-dimensionally map an olfactory plume of the at least one olfactory odor using an olfactory-driven search pattern. The controller stores the three-dimensional map for later retrieval or transmits the three-dimensional map of the olfactory plume to the management console via the wireless transmitter.

  • Patent number: 11624631
Abstract: Methods for mapping safe and traversable routes for robot vehicles comprise using a deviation to create an operating range threshold that is to be included in a stored path and used by a robot vehicle as a threshold for normal operating conditions when the robot vehicle traverses a safe and traversable route. Methods for responding to unsafe conditions detected by a robot vehicle during operations comprise executing a contingency plan when a variance exceeds an operating delta and does not exceed an intervention delta. Methods for responding to anomalous conditions encountered by a robot vehicle comprise contacting a human controller when a variance exceeds an operating delta and an intervention delta.
