Abstract: A method of forming a charge-coupled device including the steps of forming well or substrate of a first conductivity type; a buried channel of a second conductivity type; a plurality of first gate electrodes; partially coating the first gate electrodes with a mask substantially aligned to an edge of the first gate electrodes; implanting ions of the first conductivity type of sufficient energy to penetrate the first gates and into the buried channel; and a plurality of second gate electrodes covering regions each over the buried channel between the first gate electrodes.

Abstract: An image sensor includes a plurality of pixels; a substrate which is doped so that electrons released at different depths in the substrate are collected in separate regions of the substrate; and a color filter array comprising materials that selectively absorb specific bands of wavelengths over predetermined pixels so that wavelengths of light that pass through the color filter array are absorbed by the substrate which releases electrons at different depths of the substrate that are sensed and generate a separate signal for each region.

Abstract: A method for producing a resin rich epoxy-glass prepreg and laminate wherein the epoxy-glass prepreg is given a first pass through an impregnation tower and impregnated with dicyandiamide cured brominated bisphenol type epoxy modified with a polyfunctional additive and advanced to 80-85% of complete cure. The prepreg is given a second pass through the tower and given a dip coating of, for example, brominated bisphenol A which is advanced to 80-85% of complete cure. The resulting prepreg serves as the outer sheet of a multi-layer printed circuit board and it has a resin rich surface necessary for chemical roughening and subsequent additive plating.
