  • Publication number: 20240076236
Abstract: Described herein is a rejuvenated asphalt and a method of rejuvenating asphalt comprising mixing a rejuvenator, bitumen, and aggregate to obtain an asphalt mixture, wherein the rejuvenator is present in an amount ranging from about 0.1-40 wt % by weight of the bitumen, and wherein at least 35 wt % of the bitumen is derived from recycled asphalt content. The rejuvenated asphalt provides desirable performance.

  • Publication number: 20230034141
Abstract: Various aspects relate to binder compositions including a bio-based component and pre-blends for forming the same. A binder composition includes an oligomerized biorenewable oil that is at least 10 wt % of the binder composition. The binder composition also includes an Asphaltene Additive comprising at least 20 wt % to 100 wt % asphaltenes, wherein the Asphaltene Additive is at least 8 wt % of the binder composition.

  • Publication number: 20180221080
Abstract: An electrosurgical device includes a first shaft defining a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen therethrough. A fluid delivery tube is disposed within the lumen, the fluid delivery tube defining a proximal end a distal end. An electrically conductive treatment element is in electrical communication with and coupled to the distal end of the first shaft, the electrically conductive treatment element includes a conductive fluid conduit in fluid communication with and affixed within a portion of the fluid delivery tube. A second shaft is in electrical communication with the first shaft, the first shaft being slideably disposed within the second shaft and movable from a first position in which the electrically conductive treatment element is proximate to the distal end of the second shaft to a second position in which the electrically conductive treatment element is advanced a distance away from the distal end of the second shaft.

  • Publication number: 20140039493
Abstract: In some embodiments, an electrosurgical device includes a shaft, a first U-shaped electrode at a distal end of the shaft, and a second blade shaped electrode at the distal end of the shaft. The second electrode includes a spherical distal end. And the second electrode is substantially coplanar with the first electrode such that the first electrode surrounds a perimeter of the second electrode. The second electrode is spaced from the first electrode by an aperture. In some embodiments, an electrosurgical device includes a shaft, a first electrode at a distal end of the shaft defining an aperture and comprising a pointed tip, and a second electrode disposed at the distal end of the shaft that is substantially coplanar with the first electrode such that the first electrode surrounds a perimeter of the second electrode. The second electrode is spaced from the first electrode by the aperture.
