Publication number: 20250035301Abstract: A system for heating a structure uses a cavitation engine connected to a water supply, and to a discharge pipe, a condensate storage tank connected to the discharge pipe, the storage tank collecting condensate from the discharge pipe, and a pump connected to the condensate storage tank via a transfer pipe and being configured to pump the condensate out of the storage tank, and ether directly back into the cavitation engine for reuse or into a mixing tank for mixing with water from the water supply, and then back to the cavitation engine. The system creates a closed loop so that no water is wasted, and the energy generation is as efficient as possible.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2023Publication date: January 30, 2025Applicant: MSQ Mechanical Concepts LLCInventors: Joseph SZABO, Ian MORRELL, Christopher QUIRION

Patent number: 9973692Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for displaying a panoramic view image includes transmitting video data from a plurality of sensors to a data processor and using the processor to stitch the video data from respective ones of the sensors into a single panoramic image. A focus view of the image is defined and the panoramic image is scrolled such that the focus view is centered in the display. A high resolution camera is aimed along a line corresponding to a center of the focus view of the image and an image produced by the camera is stitched into the panoramic image. A mapping function is applied to the image data to compress the data and thereby reduce at least the horizontal resolution of the image in regions adjacent to the side edges thereof.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: FLIR SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Matthew Joseph Szabo, Phillip Vickery, Brian D. O'Dell, Andrew C. Teich, Jeffrey D. Frank

Patent number: 9851307Abstract: Embodiments described herein related to devices and methods for the collection and/or determination of analytes, such as illicit substances including military explosives, explosives, and precursors thereof. In some cases, the device may be a disposable device that incorporates highly efficient sample collection in combination with microfluidic-based chemical analysis resulting in the rapid detection and identification of unknown materials. In some cases, multiple colorimetric detection chemistries may be employed, and the resulting “barcode” of color changes can be used to positively identify the presence and/or identity of the analyte.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2013Date of Patent: December 26, 2017Assignee: FLIR Detection, Inc.Inventors: Robert Deans, Peter G. Loges, William McDaniel, Kateri E. Paul, Lawrence F. Hancock, Matthew Joseph Szabo

Patent number: 8245585Abstract: The current invention provides a modulated pressure wave vapor generator suitable for use outside of the laboratory. The vapor generator of the current invention produces a controlled analyte vapor sample without using bulk movement of gas. Additionally, the current invention compensates for changes in the environment to ensure discharge of the preferred volume of analyte from the vapor generator. Finally, the current invention provides a method for generating a controlled volume of analyte vapor suitable for calibrating vapor sensors.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2010Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignee: FLIR Systems, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Joseph Szabo, Matthew Laurence Dock, Craig Allen Aker

Patent number: 8072090Abstract: A method of powering a multi-level structure is provided, which includes disposing a climate control system in the building. The system has a cooling tower, a fluid cooled chiller, a return line connecting an output of the chiller to an input of the cooling tower, and a condenser pump for pumping fluid therebetween. The system further includes a supply line connecting an output of the cooling tower to an input of the chiller, fluid being gravity fed from the cooling tower to the chiller. A turbine generator is disposed in the return line, the turbine generator being powered by fluid flowing through the return line. The method provides for transferring power generated from the turbine generator to a power supply for the structure.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2009Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Tishman Speyer IP Holdings, L.L.C.Inventor: Joseph Szabo
