The first and second ends are between the first and second longitudinal sides. The second longitudinal side may include a slots. The animal collar device may include a processor carried by the circuit board and coupled to the sensing component and the first elongate patch antenna, the processor configured to communicate the data about the animal to a base station and a mobile device.
